Remove the 4 screws from the stand, remove the 5 screws from the back, remove the 3 screws from the bottom. The back will now lift off. There are 7 screws around a silver aluminum cover on the inside. Remove them and lift the cover off and you will see the ram. Also, not where the wires run under the aluminum piece so as to not kink or cut them when reassembling.

FYI, same instructions apply for upgrading the CPU, GPU, and Hard drive ( although the aluminum piece doesn't have to come off to change out the Hard drive). I have put a 1.5 Tb drive in with an Intel E7400 C2D cpu and 4 Gb ram. My next upgrade will be to an ATI HD 3650 MXM type II gpu. (actually already ordered one but it arrived damaged).

Compu is averatec d1002uhce-1 2 month new .... i

sounds like either you have a disk in the cd drive and it won't boot because of it or you have some other device that it is looking to boot from instead of the hard drive.... if not, then you have a bad hard drive. I would first unplug all accessories and eject any discs... Next go into the bios (if your comfortable with it) and make sure the hard drive is in the boot priority... if nothing, then take the cover off and disconnect and reconnect your hard drive. If that doesn't work then you probably have a faulty drive.
