Question about Nintendo New Super Mario Bros. for DS
Wen ever I want to save ro erase it always comes up with
Data could not be saved
Turn of Power and
reinsert the game card
Hmm, this can be several problems.
It may be that the game is damaged or the DS isn't reading the game card correctly.
This is usually due to dirt or other artifacts on the metal contacts on the bottom back side of the game card.
These metal contacts need to touch the metal contacts inside the DS in order for it to read.
It is also common that these get scratched up and harder for some DS machines to read.
Best ways to deal with this is you use a small Q-tip and dust off the contacts on the card.
The contacts in the DS can get dirty, but are hard to clean.
If you must, I suggest using a can of air to dust it out.
A Q-tip would only make things worse as they often break apart and the DS game card contacts are hard to get at without opening the DS itself.
If those fail then there's one final solution.
Send the game card to Nintendo for repairs.
If it is no longer under warrenty it'll cost you a fee, but they'll repair or replace the card for you.
I'd suggest checking the card in differnt DS machines to see if its just your DS not reading it right or not.
A good cleaning usually does the trick though.
Hope that helps.
Good luck fixing it.
