Hi! I have a HTC P3600 and the loud speaker stopped working.
At first the sound was screechy like a bad sound system then simply stopped working.
I thought i might be the loud speaker that was busted so i replaced it with a new one but still i get no sound from it...
All options and notifications are on sound and all i get is silence...
Hope you guys can help me with a clue of what's going on here.

More information might be necessary:
Are you still using the original software that came with your phone, or have you flashed a new ROM onto it? Have you flashed a new radio ROM onto it? If you don't know what I'm referring to, then you are probably using the original software. :)
The easiest way to test your GPS on the P3600 is to go outside and stand in the open without any obstructions in the sky (ie: no trees, buildings, etc. around).
Start the camera and in the upper left corner you will see a little camera icon with arrows pointing left and right. Press the left arrow until you see a camera with a cross-hair over it. This starts the GPS on the phone and it will say "GPS Initializing GPS...". Give it a few minutes, especially if you have not used it before. It might take as long as 5+ minutes. If it times out and says it was unsuccessful, just try it again. It should work after the second or third try.
If not, then you probably have either a hardware problem with your GPS, or the Radio ROM needs to be re-flashed. If that's the case, it is more complicated, and I will get into that with you in detail if needed.

have the same problem with my htc touch diamond.
im having it sent for repair, htc acknowledges the problem.
I have the same problem. It seems the problem appeared when I was using the speaker while I was driving my car. It was plugged to the when I received a phone call so it might be the reason why???
I replace the speaker but then no sound at all. So what's best? A screechy sound or no sound at all???
HTC Diamond speaker stopped working, so now I am using a phone without a ringer and alerts/alarms. HTC repair is expensive.
I have the same problem but I don't know where can I find speeker neither how can I change it? If there is somebaody to help me?
