Have a hp pavilion ze4530us all lights come on but no screen

it restarts on booting screen or else at start up screen itself?

on your keyboard there is a key f, it will increase the screen resolution.

if the fan is not on, the cpu may be fried and not working

Reset your memory if not in properly it will not show video. if that doesn't work then plug a external monitor in the side port. if you get video then your LCD is bad if you dont then *********** board is bad

No it suggests you have a bad screen and it needs replaced

Remove yoru battery off and try powering on with the power cable plugged in.

i m in Hong Kong. The stupid HP repair center charged US 90 just for inspection!!!!! They they said the whole motherboard had to be replaced, thts additional US 630 dollars, the thing is just 1.5 yr old. They also said i don get to keep the broken mother board after replacement. This is simply irresponsible, unethical, sleazy and UNJUST!!

Thanks. right now the computer is fixed for US70. when i hv time, i'll open it up and see if i can figure it out how it was fixed. The shop suggested tht the computer wont last too long. This is such bad quality for HP... Sorry, i hv to do the following for other victims to find this easily:
