Muting is not designed to lower volume it shuts it off completely That;s why it resets when turned on and off. Unless by muted you mean you can lower the volume to a listenable level but it reverts to full when you restart it.
Try using settings and set the volume and the type of sound(mode) you want then when you exit the menu it sshould save those settings.
Dish remotes are set up to operat between SAT and TV mode simultaneously to control these features on a stand alone TV once you introduce the receiver you lose that ability as it is a seperate piece of equipment. You could try entering the code for the receiver to the TV button but I personally have never had any sucess with that approach. In short you are stuck using the remote as you are currently or are left with purchasing a universal remote. Thanks for using Fix Ya,
The following is generic for most cordless phones:
Did you check to make sure that the phone is not in the intercom mode? If this phone has a base station speaker phone, make sure it is not on mute. Some of these phones have a fax connection. Make sure your phone line is not accidently pluged in to the fax section. Also if the phone has a fax monitoring feature check the the setup menu that the fax is not enabled. If the phone has an answering machine mode, make sure that this feature is turned off.
In the worse case:
There may be a defect in the X-Mit section of the phone. I would suspect the fault to be in the base.
that is not a problem. i have the same reciever and it has done that since i bought it. i read up on it and it is a protection feature in case you had the volume cranked when you turned it off it gives you 3 seconds to reduce volume before the amp turns on. that is why you may hear a click when the mute turns off. it is also known as soft clip because if the amp would turn on at the same time as the reciever it could cause a surge to the speakers damaging them. it is a feature not a problem.
Sir, a co-worker with this phone has the same problem, i have a fund the users manual for the phone and the code to turn on/off the mic is Feature then the number 1. for her the mic button lights up when the phone is off. meaning no one can hear her. the link for the users guide is.
