SMS to 10 digit mobile numbers work fine. The error message while messaging to 121 is " YOUR MESSAGE HAS NO VALID RECEIPIETS"
I TOO BOUGHT THE SAME PHONE MOTOROLA XT 800 and having same problem i.e unable to send sms to srvice provider (Airtel @ 121) ..I hv dig very deeply on the matter and got to know that doing below will solve the matter.
Go to phone and dial *#*#4636#*#*
there you will get an option- phone info.
pess it and scroll down you will find SMSC (messase service centre)- here you have to update your message service centre nowhich you can obtain from service provider.
After updating this yr problem wl be resolved.. If stl persist you can send message on 121 like 1-2-1..I am sure you will be able to send the sms..
GO N Enjoy!
For sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...
Good luck
SOURCE: Phone keeps sending message
see if the message is in the drafts folder or the sent items if so delete phone will stop sending
SOURCE: Be able to send and receive pictures attached to text messages for ATT on a Motorola Razar V3
I have heard about this happening to unlocked phones on AT&Ts network. The best I can find is that the message is occuring because AT&T does automatic software updates based on your IMEI. The network checks on your phone at power up to see if any software updates are needed. If you are using an unlocked phone the IMEI is not one that AT&T has information on or your IMEI is not correct in the account. Motorola may be able to provide assistance in stopping the mesasage. or maybe AT&T can disable the updates.
