Not all IR codes for all devices are available online, moreover you need to know what universal remote you are using.

A user reports "0591" as working code for your machine, dont know if it works. If that does not work, you will need to use autoscan on the remote to find the code.

If it does not , a good solution can be giving the universal remote to the kids and buying an original replacement from LG calling the number listed on the user manual

What is the brand/model of the new universal remote? once i have that i can give you the code, as different remotes use diff sets of codes, ie rca uses 3 numbers as sony uses 4 digit codes in their remotes

    3. enter 9-9-4
    4. tap SET for one blink
    5. enter 1-7-4
    6. press CBL/SAT key *extra step*

I came across your questions and wanted to see if I could help. :)There are a few codes that you can try to program to your remote in order toget your remote to perform the TV functions. We have different codes fordifferent models of remotes. You can find the model number of your remote onthe back of the remote at the top. This model number usually consists of a twodigit number with a decimal point i.e. 3.4 etc. I am going to list thedifferent codes for each of our most common IR remotes. For the 3.0 IR remotethe codes that work most often are going to be 678, 506, and 520. For the 3.1IR remote 520 and 506 are the most commonly used. For the 3.2 IR remote 506,627, and 520 are the best codes. The codes for the 5.0 IR remote are 505, 520,and 678. For the 5.3 they are 520 and 766. The 5.4 IR remote is the last remoteand the code is 766. I hope you find these codes useful in getting your IRremote addressed to your LG television. Is my LG 32lz50 tv hd and digital
Your tv is HDTV ready but unfortunatly it only has a NTSC tuner which is analog, you will need a set top box to recieve OTA over the air digital, if you have cable sattilite or an HD dvd player you can display HD. You only need the set top box if you use an anttenna. Let me know if I can assist further and please rate this solution. lone99star
