Vacation button keeps on activated(refrigerator Samsung SRS20NTC)
Vacation button keeps on activated and blinking on average every 30-90 seconds. As a result, the temperature keeps on changing from 9 C to -1 C. The fridge temperature fails to remain constant (normally we set to 6 C). As for now, the fridge keeps on making sounds (alerting us) as if it has been set to vacation mode. I have tried deactivate the vacation mode by pressing the vacation button but it is activated automatically afterwards. Thanks in advance.

Try this 1. First make sure the machine is turned on and running, both fans and compressor should be running. 2.Then unplug the machine for minimum 2 minutes. 3.Restore power to the refrigerator and wait 2 minutes. 4.Control diagnostics test using the display does not use error codes to identify problems. Instead, the temperature display allows access to components or systems to be checked if a problem is detected. 5.The temperature display must be in an active mode before entering the self-diagnosis test. 6.If the display is blank, press any temperature button once, then release it. The display will show actual temperatures.7. Enter the diagnostic mode by pressing both the freezer temperature (COLDER and WARMER) pads and the refrigerator temperature (COLDER and WARMER) pads simultaneously. All four pads must be held for approximately 3 seconds. Blinking "00"s in both the freezer and refrigerator sections of the display indicates the refrigerator has entered the test mode. 8.Remove fingers within 5 seconds and press any pad to lock-in the test mode. The blinking "00"s will change over to solid (non-blinking) "0"s when the test mode is locked in Failure to lock-in the test mode within 30 seconds will time out the test and return the refrigerator to the normal cooling mode. 9.Use the temperature colder or warmer pads to enter 1 in the freezer display and 5 in the fresh food display and press any button. This will cause a system reset.10. Wait 30 seconds and try to adjust the temperatures again. If the problem still exists, remove the cover over the motherboard behind the machine.11. Measure the voltage between J4-2 and J4-3 You should have 12 VDC (do not disconnect the J4 connector).12.If the voltage is correct confirm the voltage on the display board J3-2 and J3-3 I 13.if the voltage is correct, replace the display board. If not replace the motherboard.
