Question about Dell OptiPlex GX260 PC Desktop
I have a Dell Optiplex gx 260. It only has one ram memorie card in it ( the one it came with ) with one open slot for another one. I have numerouse ram memorie cards that I have taken out of other computers.
My question is : Can I just insert one of those into the open slot and it will give me more ram and not hurt my computer?
Thank you so much. It just runs slow and wanted to ad more ram.
The memory has to be the same type that is in your PC. Not necessarily the same manufacturer.
Your PC came with PC2700 DDR memory Dimms.
If you have DDR memory sticks from your other PC, then it may work.
Just make sure you unplug the PC and touch the metal case before you pick up and install the memory.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
