Question about Akai LCT2701AD Television

RCA Colortrak 2000 remote control will do everything except change channels.  I have Insight coax cable, just having disconnected from Direct TV satellite connection--only because new apartment does not allow satellite connections.   Now that I have to revert to the RCA remote, it's not changing channels.  Please advise.

I called RCA's 800 number on the back of the owner manual--got a response that said to replace the unit since only the up-down channel changer buttons were not working. Using another remote (universal) now--cost only $5.

Randomely when I change channel and usually when it has been on one channel for some time it tunes out and I have to keep retuning it

If your using coax and not HD then thats called "tuner sliding" The TV would need have the tuner replaced if you want to keep using the tuner. However that TV would as well have at least 2 other control boards that may be fine. If your cable/sat box has RCA jack output "the red/white/yellow hook it up that way. Then hit your TV remote to select the input your using like Video 1 or Vid1. This bi-passes the tuner and uses the other control board,

I have connecting TV link with coax cable from my sky box to my LG 50PH660V 50-inch Widescreen 1080p TV But I can not get the sky to come on my TV. as channel 68 is DTV and on my remote it says TV/RAD

If I understand your problem the Y splitter is a passive splitter which mean that the centre pins are connected via capacitors this will degrade the picture on one or both outlets, the Sky box should be connected via a scart or HDMI connection

How do i setup my tv through surround sound without a cable box?

Unfortunately Without the cable box you will have to screw the coax cable into the coax input on the tv or You can screw the coax cable into a vcr and then plug the Audio / Video RCA plugs from VCR out to TV RCA input (You will have to control the channels from the VCR and the volume from the TV remote)

Sharp Aquos 32 LCD freezes on air channel

I had the same problem, same channel, same day. It must be a problem with signal strength. With the TV on, I unplugged the coax cable that leads to my antenna (I am not on cable). As soon as I disconnected the antenna, I could change the channel off of 11.1. I plugged the antenna back in and all other channels work. Hope this helps.

I am trying to program the RCA ColorTrak Plus TV to my satellite receiver and I get nothing but snow

You will need to get a "regular" Universal remote and program it for that particular model of TV. You will need to access the on screen setup menu for the TV and then have it scan the channels. Make sure your DTV box is on and connected with the coaxial cable. If the "TV Input" button on your DTV remote works and you can get it onto the Video Channel, You can connect your DTV receiver with the RCA Cables (Red, White and Yellow) and get your picture that way. If you access the on screen menu, you will need to scan for Analog and Digital channels as the receiver transmits in Analog. hope this helps.

Was just given a 1995 RCA Remote Monitor XS Stereo Colortrak TV. Seems to work fine, but remote doesn't. Can change channels manually, but after about Channel 5, it skips most on the way up to 99. How...

Just about any One For All remote control will work with this unit and any other remote controlled devices you may have.

This sounds like when doing the channel scan the scan was interrupted and therefore went from the channels it had already found to the ones that were at the high end of the register. Also, when you are in the setting menu, you need to specify the input as either cable or antenna, preferably cable, which will also scan each channel from 2 through 125. Please let me know if there is more information you would like and I hope you have found this helpful.

How to program for sat

You do not need to program the TV for SAT because your signal comes directly from the SAT, you are only using your TV as a monitor, not a tuner. Connect your SAT via standard rca, component, or hdmi cable and change the input on your TV to the same input that you have connected your SAT to. If you connect via coax cable then set your TV to channel 3 or 4, ALWAYS using your SAT remote to change channels for both options.

I can not program the tv with the cable, which input goes with the cable channel. I have a 32 inch RCA with SRS . HELP

I do not see a question. "Which input goes with the cable channel?" Don't understand. Is there a cable box or SAT box connected to the TV? What kind of cable is running to the TV from the source? If you just have the coax cable going from the wall to the TV, then you need to auto format the channels. Select menu on the TV remote. Find Sources or Cable. Select "Cable" not "Air". Select Auto Format. May take several minutes. Input selector from TV remote should be "TV".

Humm coming from speakers - can't get cable to work

The RF input is the correct one for a cable signal. The other sources use the RCA and other ports which you can connect to other devices, like DVD or VCR players.

If the humm noise only happens when you're on the TV channel then it's likely just the station. Try changing the channel and see if that helps, and make sure the coax is screwed in all the way. Also make sure the other end, if connected to a VCR or other stuff, is tightly attached. If you share cable with many other people and the signal has snow (white spots on the TV), then you may need to buy an RF signal amplifier to reduce the noise.

Source changes the input (RCA versus coaxial versus component inputs), change the channel for different channels..
