Question about Sub-Zero 695/O Side by Side Refrigerator
The freezer is set at 0 degrees but internal temp is now at 25. Also, loud motor noise. Light is on so it has power. No water leakage.
There are a couple of possible problems. If you mean load motor noise as in the compressor then you likely have a sealed system problem. Either a bad internal valve is making it noisy and you are loosing presure within the system. You will need a new compressor if this is the problem. A technician could tell you if this is the problem just by checking the internal low side presures. A few things that I would check before calling a technician is 1. Make sure the condenser fan in the upper unit is running. 2. Check to see that the internal fan in the freezer is operating as well. 3. Check to see that the freezer light is going off when you close the door. If all of these things are working I would suggest call a technician.
