Re: switches off

You have a power supply problem ,most likly the main board will have to be replaced, My best advice is to call out an authorized Sylvania dealer because if you make a mistake on what board is bad, they will not take it back. Play it safe. Good Luck

How do I fix the Power switch

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

My Panasonic quintrix F, Its switch got faulty, but when I took it for repair...the original switch was no where to be found on the market and they fixed another switch, but now when I switch on it first...

Hi...I don't understand which switch you mean? Is it power on/Off switch? If it is power on/off switch, there is no connection with picture quality.seems to be something has occurred when the repair is done.better to recheck the TV circuit board.

I fixed it myself!
I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement Power Board for AUS$290 and swapped it out myself.
Only took ten minutes, most of that time was removing and replacing the 101 screws holding the back panel on!
Working fine again now.
I did sit the two boards side by side and noticed the new one had moved some of the micro components from the back of the board to the front plus some other small component changes.
If your handy with a screw driver and have some technical knowhow I recommend having a go at fixing it yourself as it wasn't hard and probably saved $200 in service charges (all this assuming you are out of warranty!)
