Re: MP4 Issues

I have having the same problem. my mp4 player is also from china, (bought on ebay) When i turn it on the hour glass appears and that is all that appears. i know i did some reading up, it was suggested that we reset the player. Apparently there is a pinhole at the bottom of the player, if we insert a pin it should reset, well i tried that. it didnt work, they also suggested changing the battery, well i can't even find where the battery is.

My mp4 player (craig model#CMP616F)will only flash an hour glass, what do i do?

Mine did the same thing. I talked with a guy at the company and he told me it was frozen. What you need to do is let it run till the entire battery is dead. Than recharge it completely. For 4 hours at least. That should reset it. Now my player works fine.
Good luck.

My craig mp4 player shows an hour glass and will not work.

Turn on the MP4 player and let the battery go all the way dead. Plug it back into a computer and mine reset.

Sony (chinese) MP4 player with hour glass frozen screen

Try resetting the player. There should either be a button for that (possibly on the back) or holding certain buttons together may prompt it. Check your player's user guide as it will certainly say how to restart it. If you can't find out how to restart it, try disconnecting the battery.

Hourglass frozen on screen!!

Try and plug it in your computer once again and see if the hour glass budges. Then safely remove it by clicking the "Safely Remove Device" Icon on your PC tray (where the clock is on a PC)...

If not, theres probably a software reset hole at the back or sides of your mp4 player, try pushing it with a toothpick or similar pointed thing.

If all else fails, have it replaced...

I just leave it until my battery runs out, then I charge it again. So far thats the only thing I can do about it.

Hour glass

I have had 3 try this turn off your mp4 player and recharge it for 6 or maor hours so it fully charged. Then with it switched off get at good hair dryer and heat for one minute untill its very hot but dont melt it. then switch it on have your computor ready to back up your MP4 player and also remove MEMORY HACK search the net its simple to do and takes the stress for the small cpu witch is why it froze DO NOT SWITCH OFF the player use only centre button to do this and it will come on again. hope this helps
