If you installed from CD - Have you tried it with the CD in? Many games do not install completely to the hard drive and require the CD to run. If you downloaded it from another source, try installing it again.

I can't delete the autorun.if even if i already followed the steps {using the run box}

Hi, you can use the Autoruneater software to eat the Autorun.inf files in the computer.

Please download and install the Autoruneater from the below link, it's free!!!:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Autorun-Eater.shtml

Autorun.inf files are the files which are written to run the programs automatically like CD/DVD games have it to launch the installer automatically.

INSTALL DEVICES DRIVERS FOLLOW THESE STEPS WITH THE CORRECT DRIVER NAME Download the MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.zip file and save to your desktop. Use a file compression software to unzip the file located inside MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.zip to your desktop. You will now see a file called "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.exe" or "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01" on your desktop. Double-click on "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.exe" or "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01" to launch the driver installation program. The wizard will display a message saying that it is ready to install the driver, click Next. Accept the license Agreement and click Next Click Install to start the installation of the drivers. The driver will be installed without further interaction and should take only a few seconds to install. When the installation is finished, click Finish to close the installation utility. Reboot the computer system before connecting the My Book Essential or Premium Edition hard drive. After connecting the My Book Essential or Premium Edition hard drive, Windows will automatically detect the unit and a new hard drive icon will appear in the My Computer window. Games crashing and icons on my desktop scattering

hi this does sound like your graphics card has a conflict with another device, your best bet would be to go to the site of your graphics card manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your card, un-install ( actually delete ) the graphics card from the system, ie...add and remove programs, look for drivers for your graphics card, then remove, also go to your device manager and delete it from the hardware so there is no trace of it ( don't worry it will still work it will just default to minimal settings on re-boot) re-boot the system, if it says found new hardware and tries to install your card click no you don't want to install it, then find where you downloaded the drivers and install them and then that should stop the blue screens, games..this also could be the sound card has a conflict with something, as i know allot of games just crash to the desktop for this reason, try doing the same for the sound card, download, remove and install, as above...any more probs just reply and i will see what else there is, if you can also post the blue screen error on here to will be helpful as you can determine what the cause is...hope this helps

My realtek audio driver is not getting installed. everytime i am trying...at the end its showing a message install failure. pls help..

Hi,

1. Make sure your installation windows XP has been updated to service pack 1 or service pack 2 before continuing. Right-click on “My computer” icon on desktop. Select “Properties\ General. If your system does not include service pack, please update from Microsoft's official website. Connect to internet and launch “Internet Explorer”, click “Tools” on the tool bar and select “Windows Update”.

2. Make sure that the “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio” exists in “Device manager\ System devices”. Right-click the “My computer” icon on your desktop. Select “Properties\ Hardware\ Device Manager. If the “UAA Bus Driver” does not exist, install it from the download link below to install on your system (for some reason, Microsoft does not post a download link for this update anywhere on their site). Launch the sp32646 file you have downloaded from HP's website (URL below) and reboot computer after the installation.

3. If the “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio” is working properly, there may be an “Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus” or "Realtek High Definition Audio" behind “Sound, video and game controllers” or an “Unknown device” behind “Other devices”. Please disable any of these devices. You can skip this step if device mentioned earlier does not exist in “Device Manager”.

4. Disable the “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio” under "System Devices".

5. After that, uninstall the “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio" by right-clicking the device and select uninstall.

6. When finish with the above steps, click the “Scan for hardware changes” button by clicking on the computer icon with magnifying glass toward the top of the page. When the “Found new hardware wizard” is displayed, don't click the “Next” button. Instead, cancel the installation by clicking cancel.

7. You can now install the audio driver from the driver file that you have downloaded from the internet or from your driver CD/ DVD.

Thanks.

3d error show while running most of modern games/ AGP upgradation

Hi,

It takes a hell of a computer to run decent games.
My suggestion would be to save your money, to invest in a new computer setup.
if you get a quality graphics card, for example NVidea geforce 8600 or 8800gts et,c.
your system, will not have the Memory, so you,ll then be spending on RAM.
Next step will be that, your CPU isn,t powerful enough, so that,ll be upgraded. And it,s probably already at maximum or thereabouts, for the motherboard.

I always say, if you want to play good games, get a games console.
It,s much cheaper and cost effective, you can spend £700+ to get a computer to play a game, that an xbox 360 will do for £130. Think before you spend.

Regards mike @ compurepair.

Games do not work properly

the graphics chipset is onboard and wont support the type of rendering and 3D that some of you games must require, you will need to fit an AGP fraphics card to get the best from your games along with DirectX9b if youve not already got it installed.
