Question about Carrier 52CQ315 Air Conditioner
When I turn our air-conditioner on its really louds it seriously sound like a truck and the noise persists until you turn it off, is it a simple mechanical fault or does it need to be renewed? It has pretty much done it since it has been installed. How can I fix it
The installer probably left a piece of cardboard, plastic, or styrofoam in the unit from packing that is being hit by the condensor fan blades.
Pull it out of the wall, and look for any obstructions of that nature.
Also look for any loose wires or parts that could be hitting it.
It also is not unheard of to have a fan motor with bad bearings from the factory.
