Fan forced mode not working on F&P oven (RA6102MAW)

My Fisher & Paykel oven works on bake but when Fan Forced mode is selected the oven doesn't heat up. The fan and light works but not the element in Fan Forced mode. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

benypeny what that flash was from what I have seen over the years is your heating element on the back wall burning out. Remove the cover and you will see the element is no longer in 1 piece.

Possibly your fan element has blown. Try and take the cover off that coves the fan inside the oven itself and use a torch to look at the element to see if it looks out of shape etc.

The model number supplied cannot be found on the web site a parts manual can be obtained to provide information on your product.
goto fisherpaykel.com and find the manuals available parts would be best and they may use several ways of regulating the supply . Or an element has blown visual check when cooker is ISOLATED FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY. There usually is a Grey colour round the hole in an heating element, if not sometime a black ring as if too much heat in one spot, test with a continuity tester it should have conduction.

    Delonghi range oven

Bake- Normal convection- both upper and lower heating elements.

Conv. Bake- Semi-forced convection- both upper and lower elements, heat is then distributed throughout the oven via the fan.

Broil- radiation- The heat is radiated by the ifrared broil element.

Broil & Fan- Radiation and Ventilation- The radiated heat from the infra-red broiling element is distributed throughout the oven via the fan.
