Question about Jeep 10 x 20

02' LIBERTY BLOWER MOTOTR COMES ON WHEN IT WANTS TO.

MY LIB HEAT WORKS WELL WHEN IT COMES ON??? THE RESISTOR IS WORKING PERFECT, THE BLOWER WORKS GREAT, WHEN IT COMES ON, TEMP. IS FINE, A/C WORKS. BUT THE BLOWER WON'T START UP. OUT OF THE BLUE, THE BLOWER TAKES OFF!, THE HEAT IS ADJUSTABLE, THE RESISTOR WORKS. CAN IT BE A RELAY? CAN IT BE THE BUSHINGS FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR???? PLS HELP.

I'm thinking either blower motor relay or the blower motor itself. I have the same problem btw, the fan will turn on/off whenever I hit a bump in the road.

I just picked up an 02 Jeep Liberty. The blower fan wasn't working so I took a look. Found the power plug to the blower unplugged. Plugged it in and still blower didn't work.

The control provides ground to the motor through the resistor, so you cannot connect the negative blower terminal to ground-it has to go to the resistor. Put it back that way and let us know if there are still issues.

Heating and cooling fan not working

sounds like a bad blower resistor. The switch runs a straight 12 volts to the motor in high, but runs through the resistor on the lower speeds. The resistor is located somewhere on the HVAC unit(it requires airflow to avoid premature burnout).

My fan for a/c and heat only works on high

that sounds like the blower motor resistor. on high it bypasses the resistor for maximum speed. but on low or medium speeds, the resistor slows down the blower motor. when the resistor goes out, the blower motor will only work on high. it is an inexpensive part and easy to replace. it should be located on the black box under the dash on the passenger side. there might be a plastic cover over it, but it will have a 3 or 4 wire connector plugged into it

Fan motor for the heat and air only works on high

No this shouldn't be a big problem. It sounds like it is just the blower motor relay.

Heat climate control doesn/t blow warm air when on lower setting

It sounds like the blower resistor is shot. Just change out the resistor and that should take care of it.
