Kenmore Elite He3 electrical dryer runs but it does not heat up

My Kenmore Elite HE3 electrical dryer runs fine and the drum inside runs but there it does not heat up. The clothes are still wet and I already cleaned everything from the inside out it still does not heat up. If you had the same problem or if you are having the same problem please tell me what is wrong and if I can fix it.

My Kenmore Elite HE3 has exactly the same problem..runs normal but no heat.

The dryer spins and I can tell there's heat inside, but the clothes don't dry. It always takes an hour to dry a load, but now it takes 3. We've cleaned all the ducts outside of the dryer. What could be the issue inside?

My dryer has to be run 2-3 times before it will dry anything...I can feel heat coming out of the duct, and it is getting warm - used to be so hot you could barely touch stuff right after it came out. I can't afford a repairman but don't know where to find the heat element...I am going to try the circuit breaker first, just to see - but if that doesn't work - what next? The manual is no help at all.

Odd but it worked for me!! Try resetting the circuit breaker. It will not appear to have blown, this is because only 1/2 the breaker needs resetting, This is much cheaper to try before calling for service or parts. My 2002 E3t has only had this problem once and the resetting worked without further issues for 2 years now. Good luck

My Kenmore Elite HE3 gas dryer does not heat up? What do I do?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing that should be checked is the Thermal fuse which is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover. If this fuse goes bad the dryer will not heat and you’ll have to replace it as it cannot be repaired. If this is fine then you’ll need to check the thermostat, igniter and coils. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

My kenmore elite he3 dryer has quit heating could it be the heating element and if so where can i find it on the dryer? The model # is 110.82822103 and the serial# is MR1751757

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Dryer working but no heat

The manual says that two circuit breakers used, and that the dryer
can spin but no heat if one of them tripped, check your panel and see
if any breakers are tripped. If this was the problem, have an electrician
check the circuit.

Dryer turns on, but does not run

Try to turn the drum inside with no clothes in it, does it turn freely both ways?

Then as someone is holding the start button, hold the door switch button, then try to turn the drum counter-clock wise, and see if it will start turning on its own.

If it does start turning, then the motor is more than likely the problem.

If it dosen't then the timer is more than likely the problem.

You need to check if the Spray Arms are knocking against an item in a basket. If the source of noise cannot be determined, run a program without plates or glassware. If the noises continue, let me know for further investigation.
