I just baught a 4GB card and the polaroid logo and a blue screen just came up and held there for about 5 mins. I guess that the memory card is too big.

Have you successfully used this card in this camera before? If not, you may have a new card that is too large for this camera to use, not all cameras can use the newer large cards. If you have successfully used this card in the camera before, you need to reformat it IN THE CAMERA to make sure the file structure is correct for this camera. When you reformat a card all the data on the card is lost, so be sure you have copies of all the photos backed up on your computer before you reformat the card!

The PDC 3070 is a fairly old camera. When it was made, Poloroid put image capacity information for cards from 16 MB to 256 MB in the user manual. It may be that this camera can only work on cards 256 MB and smaller, not the 1 GB (1000MB) card you are trying to use. Try a card within 16 MB to 256 MB and see if that will work. See if you can borrow or test with one of these smaller cards before you buy one - the problem may be elsewhere in your camera so you shouldn't buy a new card until you know that it's the right size AND the cmaera will work with that size card.

If you no longer have your user manual you can download a PDF of the user manual here.

I purchased a 2G card for this camera from a site that said this card was made for the PDC3070 and it didn't work. After reading the fine print in the manual, it says the PDC3070 only recognizes cards up to 256MB.

SOURCE: Card error

Hi!

I wish what I'll be saying will resolve the problem. Unfortunately, your camera can only support up to 1GB of SD card. That's the reason why the 4GB card is not working.

Here's a screenshot of the details regarding your Polaroid camera.

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

"memory full" but SD cards are empty

Not sure if it will be this, but has the SD card got locked by accident? There is a little sliding button on the side of the card, which can be locked to protect the content. My camera shows the card as full if I accidentally lock the card. You can just slide it back again to unlock it. I never noticed the button was there until I accidentally knocked it while loading the card in and out of my PC to transfer the photos.

They are being saved to the internal memory of the camera. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card and it should now work properly.

The camera defaults to black and white in low light conditions, so only daylight pics will be in color. Any SD card should work fine, but you may need reader software -- check your operating manual.

Sandisk micro SD "card error"

The five pics are being stored on the camera's internal memory. The card you used was formatted and used in your phone. It's a miracle it worked at all. You need to get a new card, format it in your new camera have fun.

Chip says full after few pics

The chip may not be inserted correctly. You can tell by seeing or not seeing SD symbol in the view screen. Try removing the SD card. Go through the memory and see if the pictures were saved to the camera or to the card. If the pictures were saved to the camera, turn off the camera and re-insert the card. See if the cards responds by showing more pictures available for taking and move the pictures to the card. If the pictures were saved to the card, then the card may need to replaced.

Cannot seem to get my camera to work

The specifications on page 25 of the User's Manual state that only SD cards between 8MB and 1GB in size can be used in this camera. When I tried a larger-capacity 2GB SD card in this camera it reported that the card needed to be formatted even though the SD card worked fine in my desktop PC's SD card slot. Verify that the capacity of the SD card you're trying to use is 1GB or less, I suspect the error report about formatting is due to the SD card being larger than the camera can handle.

mostly due to continious insertion and removal of the sd card the card port in the camera gets damaged, and stops working. the camera needs repairs
