Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

1 Answer

I can't edit any of my documents

I installed MS on my PC (I have vista, if it makes a difference) and it was fine for a while, but then it suddenly stopped letting me click on my documents with the mouse. I can click on all the features etc. but not anything in the documents themselves. It also won't open anything from my USB unless I go into word itself and open it from there. Any ideas?

    Not enough information

    • Are you logged in as an administrator?

    • Could the documents be locked?

    • Are you getting any error messages?

    • Did you turned off ACL?

I have come across this problem before (I presume you are talking about word docs??)

This is a fix that MAY work... Give it a try.

Start, Accessories, Run

Enter "regedit" and hit enter

Now look into:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office 12.0\Word
Find the "Data" folder and rename it to "Old-Data"
Start Word again and the problem should be fixed.

Always be very careful when editing the registry though. In fact I would recommend that the first thing you do when in the registry editor is to click 'File' and select 'Export'. This will take a backup of your current registry settings.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can ms works 6 files be opened with open office .org

Hi

Openoffice can read anything that MS office can make. Openoffice can also save files in MS office's .doc format. So, if you are sending documents to people that don't have Openofice, and that need to edit the documents you should send them in .doc/.xls/etcetera. If they don't need to edit the document it's best to use .pdf since that guarantees that they will see the document as you intended.

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

I have MS Office Home & Student 2007 edition. Since a recent auto update to Windows Vista, every time I launch MS Office, it performs an installation / configuration of MS office

Try to un-install the software of your MS Office Home and Student 2007 Edition, then Install it again, this will solve your problem, make it sure that you have your product key before you un-install your software, you may need it when during the installation

I had a trial office of Windows 2003 pc..did not upgrade to full edition. Will Windows MS OFfice 2007 be an easy fix?

Yes, installing Office 2007 should be seamless. You will notice that the two versions look quite a bit different, but the functionality is still the same.

Enjoy!

I can't unlock a word document and can't use the tool bar

A) Open document > Select edit menu > choose select all > then choose copy from edit menu.
Open new document > edit menu> paste.
Select tools menu> choose options> window opens with options. Select form different tabs the edit tab> make sure that al desired boxes are selected.
Select save tab>choose and mark box>ask about properties
accept or Apply options and close.
Save new document different name. When saving it should ask if you want to save properties> choose not save. Maybe it asks if you want to modify properties> choose yes> select box archive amongst read only, hidden or archive.
If this does not work.
B)There are many 3rd party utilities which claim to recover forgotten word password:
The program that I recommend is the Word Password Recovery 5.0 It recovers/removes the "Password
to Open" and "Password to Edit" for you to view and edit the document freely.

Installing Enteprise edition MS office on Vista

you need to firstly check if you are an administrator. Windows Vista will only allow administrators to install programs.
Go to control panel and users to see if it say's administrator under your user name. If it doesn't then you need to either sign on as the administrator or change your user details to administrator, then you will be able to install it. Once it has loaded and you are happy with it, uninstall the 60 day trial version. It will be using a different liscense key to the new CD version of office that you have.

Disable the print microsoft office 2007 (enterprise edition)

Click the MS Office button, Prepare, and then choose the security option you desire (disable print, for example). This feature is not available in all versions of Word - but it is included in Ultimate, Professional Plus, and Enterprise. If you have another version, this is not in the security options, but if your product is one of these three, you should be able to handle easily as indicated. Thanks for rating FixYa!
