Question about Televison & Video
I have a White Westinghouse tv vcr combo model number WVT11911 and there is no remote. I am trying to run cable to his but the channels don't turn. I put it through a vcr and that is working except for I'm not able to change it to channel 3 or 4 to get a pic. is there a way to bring the menu up on this tv without the remote?
Check first the antenna using another TV. If there is no other TV available, check using an ohmeter. If you are 100% sure tha the antenna is ok then the antenna connector on your Tv is not making a good connection to the antenna plug.

alot of universal remotes dont let you program your tv with them due to how much more mem they would need. you have to use your actual tv remote or do it manually with the tv. sorry

SOURCE: Channels locked
this worked for our emerson....go to menu....go down to v-chip set up..chick on the volume button.....this should take you to something that will say tv ratings...again click on the vol. button. when I did this it showed that all channels were blocked.. again click the volume button and it should change it to view.. if it works this way for you then just click menu and you are done.

SOURCE: set up for cable
You might be able to restore the factory settings by pressing "play" and "FF" simultaneously and hoding them down until the set shuts off (about 5 seconds). Then when you turn it back on it will lead you through the setup routine, which includes auto channel select.
Plan B would be to buy a universal remote.
