Shaotim's, The power light turns green for a sec. then flashes red. Do you think the main board needs replacing?
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
With the indulgence of shaotim.
Initially, the blinking red light is significant. It indicates the unit is in protection mode. The number/sequence of the blinks would point to the probable fault and where diagnosis would start.
Common problem on this model/series would be 5 blinks that points to the SSB-Small Signal Board. The current replacement has a 12NC of 313926809052 (Philips Part Numbering System).
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Hi
These all sound classic to power supply faults. Or, there may be a board that is pulling too much current due to something that has failed, and the power supply is in the protect mode.

It only flashes once. Is there anything that may suggest what happened to cause it to start doing this? You lost both audio and video correct? It could be a number of things and if you here any sounds that would also help diagnose the correct problem which also could be the power supply or the protection circuitry

or try unplugging the TV for 30 seconds to 1 minute to "dissipate possible static electricity in the small signal board
