Re: Wont turn on sounds, no clicks......using...

This symptom is usually caused by a breakdown in the power-supply circuit. in most modern receivers (transistorised and/or ic), it may also be caused by a breakdown in the horizontal deflection circuits (horizontal oscillator, pre-drive or drive circuits.). this is because the supply volatages for the tuner, video intermidiate frequency(VIF), video amplifier, sound intermediate frequency(SIF) and vertical output circuit are usually supplied by the horizontal output circuit. but if you are not inclined with this kind of job, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!

When turning on the t.v. makes a clicking sound (Normal sound) but the t.v. doesn't turn on, no picture?I am wondering if the t.v. has a reset button or something?

Does any indicator light in front of the TV when you turn it on?
if the answer is yes, try turning on the TV by using the remote control. press any of the programme numbers 1-9 while pointing the remote at the TV. It is advisable that you install new batteries in the remote before attempting this.
If the answer is no then you should do the following:
- check the wall socket. try plugging another device into this socket to see if there is power present

if all the above fail thentake the TV to the repairman.

Power button makes a click, click sound

The sound is coming from a failed flyback auto transformer. You will need to replace that.

I have the same problem. When using the remote, it makes the clicking sounds like it turns on, then immediately makes the clicking sound of turning off. The LED blinks repeatedly 6 times over and over.
I *did* get it to come back on by holding the power button down for about 5 seconds. Now I'm afraid to turn it off again! :(

My tv will not turn on.

First of all, forget about the remote and see if the TV functions normally using the buttons on the front of the set itself. If the TV will not power on with the power button on the set itself, then something is wrong inside the TV. If the set works fine from the front buttons but no longer responds to that remote, then the remote has either gone bad or was accidently set to a different brand. In this case, look for the original book that came with the remote (or TV if it is the original remote) and follow the instructions for setting the remote back to Zenith. Try that and post your results here.

Auxiliary button on tv remote (I believe) needs off and I can't get figure out how...

The remote should have TV, VCR, AUX and maybe CABLE buttons at the top, one of which will light up when any button is pressed. Since it is a universal remote, the button at top lights up to let you know what mode it is in. If the AUX button lights up when any button is pressed, it means the remote is currently set to the AUX mode. To set it back to TV, simply press the TV button at the top. This puts the remote back in the TV mode and the TV button should now light up when any button is pressed. If that works and you are using a cable box with that set, then make sure the TV is on channel 3 by pressing 3 ENTER.
