Disable the turbo memroy driver and see if it will let you go onlin, if so download the driver or updated driver (if any), then unistall and reinstall it. If it won't allow you to do this, then try a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc.

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Good luck

SOURCE: BOOTMGR is compressed

You are best off checking to see if you can get to the system restore point from the main menu of XP, assuming you can get that far. If XP starts then you can Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\System32\Restore\Rstrui.exe, and then click OK and follow the numbered procedure below.

If not then You should also have a system restore disk suopplied witht he laptop so run this to restore your system back to original setup. If not then use the XP boot disk and trhen let it start and when prompted choose the restore option (usually R) when prompetd on the first screen. Then select the default Windows XP install (usually option 1 and press return when prompted. If you have a system admin password enter this when promted or just press {Return}. This will take to to a black and white text based screen and you sold see a C:\ prompt. Type the following:

cd C:\windows\system32\restore then hit {Enter} or {Return}

then type the following

dir rest*.* then hit {Enter} or {Return}

you should see a list of files including one called [rstrui.exe]

If you see this then you can tyope the following

rstrui then hit {Enter} or {Return}

this will then allow you to choose a date and time to restore the system to. Follw the procedure below.

  1. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next .
  2. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the system checkpoint. In the On this list select the restore point area, click an entry that is named "Guided Help (Registry Backup)," and then click Next. If a System Restore message appears that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make, click OK.
  3. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration and then restarts the computer.
  4. Log on to the computer. When the System Restore confirmation page appears, click OK..

Where do I pug the speakers in ? I need a Picture,Show me the picture.

    • 1 Remove the Dell A215 speakers from the box. Place the speakers in your computer area. The speaker with the volume knob is the right speaker and should sit to the right of your keyboard. Place the other speaker to the left of your keyboard.
    • 2 Plug the left speaker into the right speaker. The left unit has an orange-brown plug that connects to a similarly colored port on the back of the right unit. The other end of the cord is fixed to the rear of the left speaker.
    • 3 Insert the two-prong end of the power adapter into an electrical outlet. Plug the other end into the black power port on the back of the right speaker.
    • 4 Insert the main audio cable into your computer. This cable is fixed to the back of the right speaker and has a green head. Plug the green connector to the green audio-out port on your computer. This port may be on the front or back of desktops or on either side of a laptop.
    • 5 Turn the knob on the right speaker clockwise to turn the speakers on and increase the volume. Turn it counterclockwise to lower the volume partially or all the way to turn the speakers off. The speakers should work automatically on any computer with a sound card.
Let me know if this solved the problem and good luck..

The speakers were working the I believe I accidentally deleted the speaker software they don't even so as a device on the computer and aren't working??

The speaker you have mentioned is no need a software to use in a computer try to check if you are connected properly in your computer. See to it that you plug in the power adopter of your speaker and the input of the speaker is connected to the output of the audio of your computer.

I cannot get sound from my speakers. There is one prong on my right hand speaker but I do not know where to hook it.

Usually, the "line-out" from your computer's sound-card is a "stereo" output, but the cable only runs to one speaker.

Be sure to connect to "line-out" or "speaker-out",
not to "line-in" nor to "microphone-in".

A separate cable runs from that one speaker to the other speaker, using that single wire that you mentioned.

The light wokes but the sound does not work

Do you have the speaker wires attached correctly? One should connect the left and right speakers, and the other should connect to the speaker audio port on your computer (should be the light green one).

Speakers not working

Did you try other speakers (that you know work correctly)?
Did you ensure the speakers were plugged into the correct place (wall and back of computer)?
What does your Device Manager say for this device? To get there, right-click on your My Computer icon, select Manage. From there, look in the left hand column for Device Manager. If you select that, It will display information about devices installed on your machine. Look for a red X or a yellow exclamation point.
Let me know what you find or if trying what's above solves your issue.

Help with opening them

A215 has a detachable front (grey) cover. It is attached on 4 coaks (pins). Just push a flat screwdriver under it and turn slightly - the cover will go out a little. Do it around the cover - and it will be detached. You will see 6 screws (or 4 in the left speaker). You need to unscrew them all.
