I just put new ink Cartridges but still wont print

I tried printing keeps saying there a problem with printer i followed the steps still wont printI It also said trouble communicating with computer i checked the usb cablestill wont print

Hello,

Most of the time the "problem communicating with the printer" message pops up on Lexmark X1185 series when the driver gets corrupted. The best fix for this issue would be to uninstall the software first. Try connecting the USB to a different USB port (Please avoid using USB hubs, if any) and then reinstall the software. This should normally fix the printer communication issues!

Tell Me Your HP Printer Model Or You Can Perform These Below Step To Change HP Printer Ink cartridge,
Step 1: Open the printer
Turn on the printer. Press the Power button if it is not lit.
Open the printer cover, then wait until the print cartridge cradle moves to the right side of the printer and is idle and silent.

Step 2 - Remove old cartridges
1 Press down lightly on top of the cartridge latch.
2 Pull out the bottom of the latch to unhook it.
3 Slide the cartridge out.

Step three: Use a cartridge protector
If you are temporarily removing a working cartridge (for instance, removing a Black cartridge in order to install a Photo cartridge), put it in a cartridge protector. Cartridge protectors come with Photo cartridges.

Hold the print cartridge so the nozzles are down and the contacts face toward the printer, then slide the cartridge into the carriage.
Cartridges marked with a triangle go into the left carriage slot.
Cartridges marked with a square or pentagon go into the right carriage slot.

3 Push down on the print cartridge latch until it snaps closed.

4 Close the printer cover.
Print cartridge maintenance

After removing the print cartridges from the printer, it is necessary to follow basic care and maintenance guidelines to keep them from drying out. The following guidelines will help maintain HP inkjet print cartridges and ensure consistent print quality.
Do not reattach the plastic tape that covered the ink nozzles since this can damage the nozzles.
Store the print cartridge(s) in a print cartridge protector or airtight plastic container. If the cartridge is stored in an airtight plastic container, make sure the nozzles face down and are not in contact with the container. Do not use plastic bags: this may damage the print cartridges.
Placing a moist paper towel in the airtight container may help to keep the cartridges from drying out.
A print cartridge protector is provided with the photo print cartridge.
To insert the cartridge into this protector, slide the cartridge at a slight angle into the protector and snap it securely in place.
To remove the cartridge, press down and back on the top of the protector to release the cartridge. Slide the cartridge out of the protector.
Do not drop the print cartridge since it could be damaged.

Cleaned the printer head now error message wrong printer head


Hi there,
Most likely this is a print head issue. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:

(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. If for some reason it does not follow these instructions:
(a) Unplug the printer
(b) Manually slide the carriage over until you can get the ink cartridges out.
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mix of hot water and isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
(6) Try to print something now

If that does not work then you have one of two possibilities:
(1) One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error
(2) If it's definitely not that, then the print head will need to be replaced.

If that does not work then the print head will need to be replaced. This is a common problem

Try the below steps are well if you are using Win 7,

Step 1

With the printer turned on, open your printer cover and remove the ink cartridges. Place the cartridges in a zip lock bag for storage (this is just to keep them from drying out or leaking).

Step 2

With the ink removed, release the gray lever to the left of the ink container in your printer, then gently pull the printhead out. The print head is the container where you install your ink cartridges. Be careful not to touch gold electrical contacts in back.

Step 3

Fill a small bowl of water, then stand the print head inside the water, covering the bottom of the print head completely. Let it soak for 30-60 minutes (the water will turn very black). When this is done, empty the water and refill with clean water, then let it soak for another hour. If water is still black, repeat process and try moving the print head around in the water (sort of wade it back and forth) to help remove the rest of the ink.

Note: Some people prefer to use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning the print head, but it's really unnecessary. Water alone will do the trick.

Step 4

Remove print head from water, then dab lightly with a napkin or cotton swab.

Step 5

Turn print head upside down, and let it drip dry overnight on top of a napkin or hand towel.

Step 6

Once completely dry, replace the print head in your printer.

Step 7

You might need to run a Windows Maintenance Cleaning before printing, but other than that, you are done. Your print-outs should be like new again

Hi! The printer does not print colors or black. I have full new inks, an i have cleaned it many times, but it does not give any viewable text.


Hi, this is a very common problem when you leave the printer without use for many months . To fix that, you have to take your printer to a custom Technical Service and ask for a simple head cleaning. It'll be a cheap work.
_OR_
If you want to do it for yourself, get some Isoprophilic Alcohol (also, you can get Deionized Water) and follow the next steps:
1- With a syringe (one for color), remove all the ink of your cartridges.
2- Put that ink on different recipients and save it for later. 3- With a new syringe, put the isoprophilic alcohol in the cartridges. 4- Leave the cartridges all night. 5- Put the cartridges back on the printer and turn it on. 6- "Print" as many pages you can. This'll make the isoprophilic alcohol pass through the printer's head and make it "believe" is printing normally. 7- When you're done, remove the isoprophilic alcohol of the cartridges and put the ink back on the cartridges. 8- Put the cartridges back on the printer and start printing. This prints will be desaturated or blank. 9- Keep doing it until the printer is working correctly.
This is what they're gonna do at the technical service. You choose what to do.

You need to take it a couple steps further after your test print. Sounds like your print heads need cleaning or your cartridge may need aligning. Printer wont print


Try remove all cartridges then put back it one by one.Make sure the color cartridges are not empty too.The printer need all cartridges not empty to initialized and working.

Hp 1410 all in one keeps saying prin cartridge error


Follow the steps given below and check for the results

=== Cleaning the ink Cartridges ===

Even if the cartridge is new, follow the steps below to clean the print cartridge contacts. Print cartridges have a substance on the contacts to keep them from corroding during storage that may cause poor electrical contact between the print carriage and the print cartridge.
  1. Verify that the product is turned on. NOTE: If the HP product is not turned on, you will not be able to remove the print cartridges.
  2. Open the unit to access the print cartridges.
  3. After the print carriage (the part that holds the print cartridges) stops moving, unplug the power cord without turning off the unit using the power button. If you turn the unit off the print cartridges will be capped to prevent them from drying out and you will not be able to remove them. You must unplug the power cord to prevent the print carriage from moving.
  4. Remove both print cartridges.
  5. Verify that the part number on the cartridge is the correct part number for the unit.
  6. Using a cotton swab or lint free cloth (like a coffee filter) lightly moistened with distilled, filtered, or bottled water, clean the electrical contacts of the cartridge. Figure 1: Electrical contacts c00055424.jpg NOTE: When an all-in-one is used frequently for black and white printing but infrequently for color printing (for example, an all-in-one that is used primarily as a fax machine), the color cartridge will still eventually fail and need to be replaced. The pins in the print carriage can cause dents on the contact points of the color cartridge over time (usually between six and twelve months).
  7. Wipe the contacts with a dry, cotton cloth, as shown, to dry the contacts and finish cleaning. Figure 2: Wiping the contacts c00055425.jpg
  8. Reinsert the cartridges and lock them in place.
  9. Close the top cover or access door and plug in the power cord.
  10. If the error continues, repeat these steps. If further cleaning fails to clear the error, proceed to "Step two: Cleaning the print carriage contacts" below.
Step two: Cleaning the print carriage contacts Have the following materials available to clean the print carriage contacts:
  • Cotton swabs or any soft material that will not come apart or leave fibers.
  • Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water may contain contaminants that can damage the print cartridges) CAUTION: Be careful not to get ink on hands or clothing.
Do the follow to clean the cartridge contacts inside the product:
  1. If the unit is off, turn it on.
  2. Open the unit to access the print cartridges.
  3. After the print carriage stops moving, unplug the power cord. Do not turn the unit off before unplugging the power cord.
  4. Remove both print cartridges.
  5. Using a cotton swab or cloth lightly moistened with distilled, filtered, or bottled water, clean the electrical contacts of the print carriage as shown below. Figure 3: Cleaning the carriage contacts (your model may look slightly different) c00130268.jpg

  7. Wait five minutes for the contacts to dry and then plug in the power cord. The unit will begin to reinitialize. Wait until the process is complete before proceeding.
  8. Reinsert the print cartridges when prompted and then close the top cover or access door.
  9. If the message recurs, replace the print cartridge indicated by the message. If you are using refilled or remanufactured cartridges or non-HP cartridges, replace them with new HP cartridges. HP cannot guarantee that refilled or non-HP cartridges will function correctly in HP products. If a new HP ink cartridge is defective, return it to the place of purchase with the receipt, or contact HP to obtain a replacement.
  10. If the problem still exists, replace both print cartridges. Since the cartridges are electronically connected through the printed circuit board, the cartridge not indicated in the message might be the causing the failure
If the issue still persists then try the following steps to identify the problem ink cartridge
1. Remove both the ink cartridges
2. Insert the Color ink cartridge first and close the ink access door
3. Check if you are getting any error message or the ink cartridge light is blinking
4. Now remove the color ink cartridge and then insert the black ink cartridge and close the ink access door
5. Check if you are getting any error message or the ink cartridge light is blinking
Replace the problem ink cartridge anc then check

Changed ink cartridges cannot print alignment page, out of ink


You need to reset the ink level before the printer can print further, to do these please follow the following step:
1) Goto the Lexmark Solution Center application.
2) Press button Maintenance>Install a new print cartridge, follow the instruction on screen. U may then have your new full ink level. Note: u only can reset to full level, cannot customize the level by your own.
Then try again with printing alignment task.
