I have AMd sempron computer. Altec Lansing Multimedia computer, speaker system AVS200. I lost my mother board CD which I got from them. My operating system is windows xp. I formatted my computer and reinstalled everything. Since I do not have mother board CD, I can not install sound system. I am not able to here music.
Kindly suggest me where, how to download this and install in my system.
Anticipating for your early reply.
You may need to download and reinstall your sound card driver. You can visit the manufacturer's website and download free of charge. Go to the manufacturer of the computer, not the speakers. Click on support, enter model number, choose operating system and download driver. Install, reboot and you are good to go.
Make sure the computer output is set to Analog, not digital. If the Spkrs work with a CD box, they are analog. Speakers don't need drivers unless they are integrated to a sound card. like USB 5.1 systems.
it may be another volum seting on you computer like it could be the wave, the master the SW synth, or the CD player volum controles. to do this right click on the volium control on the right lower part of your scren and slect and say open volum control. this should show all the volum controls for your computer a increase the volium.
There is no need of any CD or driver for speakers or woofer to be installed. All you need is to do is power on the speaker and plug in the speaker input wire into your sound card of green color. Best luck!
If you set the volume up, and there is a problem with audio, I recomend,
1) reconnect your speakers and press well the conector, (green)
2) see if sound came from output connector using a headset.
3) buy new speakers.
depending on the model of your current spk. check one from creative, they have some good Spk. that work fine for years.

Well, easy task, just put a music CD, on system and if you got an headphones, put in the green connector on your sound card, pop up the PC volume, and see if you heard sound, if you do, heard sound then the problem is your speakers. if don't is your sound card.
first see to that audio driver is installed in ur computer or not if not put motherboard cd, right click on my computer go to hardwre right click on sound manager with yello question mark and give update driver
