Question about JBL GTO1202D Car Subwoofer
I was listening to my audio system and it just stopped playing and gave me an error message. Now it will not eject my cd's or play them. I hit the reset on te ssytem but now it reads that my cd's are not in the system. Then all of a sudden it recognizes the cd's as "unknown" but when I touch the cd to play it powers off the system. What the heck is going on????? Please help

Have you tried putting the CDs in label-side down? My Alpine needs them to be label-side-up, but a friends changer (kenwood? I don't remember) needs them to be label-side-down.
Whichever way you've put them, try flipping the CDs to see if it makes a difference.

Welcome to Fixya
Try to use cd cleaner first to clean the lens. Its giving you a BAD CD error because the lens cannot read the disc. Do the cleaning method 2 times.
Please reply to this email for any update.
Thank yuo for using Fixya!

try disconnecting power to the radio for an hour or so. usually it is best to disconnect the battery overnight to reset the microprocessors.

I have a similar problem on my Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD. My discs won't play sometimes. This may sound weird, but it's usually in the mornings or at night (i'm thinking condensation?), when the cd's won't play. During the afternoon, when the sun is out, the radio will work fine. I had the cd's not want to come out just once when I first got the radio. But haven't had that problem anymore.
