Question about Routers
I have two laptops which share the internet connection through a wireless router. The router is dlink WBR 1310. But i can use internet on only one of them....I keep getting the error message...two computers have same IP address...please contact network administrator....what do i need to do for this? I cannot access the internet on both the laptops simultaneously,,,,
Hi, at first you have to get into both PC's network cards settings > properties of network adapters, select Internet protocol TCP/IP and click on properties - make sure the adapter is set to get the IP address and DNS details automatically. Then get into the routers admin website in web browser (I think 192.168.0.1) while connected to router. Find the option DHCP and select it to enable. Save the settings and try to reconnect with both laptops again and it should work.

Reset the TCP/IP stack in Windows to possible repair the Internet connection if it is corrupted.
Go to Start, Run and type in CMD.
Go to C:/ (probably by typing in "cd C:/" at the prompt - deleting the quote marks)
Type the following commands:
netsh int ip reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset catalog
Reboot your pc.
repeat on the other machine.
