If you can not sign in for yahoo mail you have to check if you typing with caps lock function enabled or disabled. It can make a lot of mess.
Second try to sighn in from another computer.

Try to do very last thing.

If you havenot tryed to login from another PC try to do it

If you will be fine, you have a problem with your own PC

Open your internet browser, go to upper toolbar, find tools, click on it, go to internet options, go to general, click on delete cockies, then delete files (delete offline content), also you can clean history

It will refresh you internet browser

I did it for my internet account it works. If you think you dont need it just ignore my comment

    Good Luck

I have had a similar problem in the past, it could be your browser or it could be your system. The best thing to do is first reinstall the browser you are trying log in with, then make sure you have the latest Flash installed. If this does not correct the problem, then you may have to reinstall windows. One last thing, it may just be Yahoo mail is having problems which is not uncommon so I would wait at least a day and see.

Hope this helps.

You seem to be having other troubles. Perhaps its actually something on your computer blocking the web page. Try and DL a free trial of System Mechanic from www.iolo.com it has a 30 day free trial and can fix many things that are wrong with your computer.

Try restarting your computer in safe mode , and then hit the web page again www.iolo.com and perhaps run a free virus scan at www.antivirus.com its sounding more like viruses and less like forgotten passwords.

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. If all else fails go back to classic mail via this link.http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

A lot of people currently have this problem - it has nothing to do with your computer or browser and everything to do with Yahoo.

While they take their time fixing it, you can check your mail (albeit the very basics) with this link - http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail

That basically means, Yahoo is down for your area. There has been problems with Yahoo the past couple of weeks. When you do get back on their site, go to their technical support and ask what is going on. It has nothing to do with you or your network connections.

Posted on Dec 12, 2008

  • zabrina liang Dec 12, 2008

That means you have to wait until Yahoo comes back on for you. You can't do anything right now. I've contacted their help section as to why this is happening.

it could also be a browser problem also, to reset your browser (i assume its IE7 and you are using vista) go the control panel, click on internet options, then choose the advanced tab and click reset.
Sometimes there are website problems in certain areas but with yahoo being .com its world based and i have no problems signing in

    regards

you can get hold of a free webmail downloader from here:

    http://www.sharewareconnection.com/title...

read through the free software until you find the one you want and you should be able to download your yahoo mail to your pc

Don't forget to enable cookies in your browser.
    Install "flash player" here:

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoi...

    and also install "Java" here:

    http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Webmail relys on both of these add-ons being installed to they can display pages which have "scripting" on them, so does "HTLM"

How to get rid of ads on my screen when I go to my in box in Yayoo mail

You can either temporarily hide the ads that keep popping up on your Yahoo Mail page or block them permanently. To know how, refer to the steps below.

To temporarily hide ads (for free email accounts):
1)Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account
2)When, while viewing your list of emails or a particular email, an ad pops up, you can see a right-facing arrow between your email and the advertisement. Click on this arrow.
3)The ad will get hidden temporarily.
(Important: This blocks the ads temporarily only and as soon as you perform the actions like refreshing the Yahoo Mail page, marking a particular email as spam, replying to an email, or just clicking on any of the sections in the navigation-menu located on the left of the page, a new ad may pop up again).

To permanently remove graphical and text ads:
Yahoo Mail has recently come up with "Yahoo Ad Free Mail" service to enable you to get rid of graphical and text ads on a permanent basis when viewing your Yahoo Mail account from a computer. You need to sign up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account before starting using this service.
(Note: Before signing up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account, please check if the service is available in your region. Also, even after subscribing to the service, the subscribers may still get the text ads that come up on Yahoo Mail on a mobile web browser and the text ads that come up in the "Basic Mail" interface of Yahoo Mail on a computer. To know what Basic Mail is, refer to the following Yahoo webpage: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/basic-mail-sln5171.html)
To know more about Yahoo Ad Free Mail service, refer to the following Yahoo webpage:

When I try to open Yahoo mail page all I get is a blank page????

Don't let anyone fool you into reinstalling anything. The problem is with Yahoo, NOT with your computer.

You can TRY the following to force it to somehow work

FIRST sign out of Yahoo on the Mail page. Kill all your browser cookies. Turn off the whole computer, and start it again.
After you restart, go to an Answers page. Sign in from there.

1) Then go to mail from the Mail link at the top left corner.

2) do not use the Check Mail button. Instead, use the Browser GO button or Refresh button, to force the whole page to load again.

3) if the Reply button does not work, COPY the email and sender address, click COMPOSE (which still seems to be working) and paste it in, to make a new mail out of it. Copy it all in, then copy and paste off the sender's address to the address box. If you try to go back to get the address separately, you will lose the content you've just pasted in.

4) BEFORE trying to click on Compose or Contacts, REFRESH the page first.

ANOTHER way to get the Mail is, if you have Messenger, sign into Messenger and use the links there to get at your Mail. After that you might still need to do some of the above tricks, but it seems a bit better through Messenger.

Cant sign in to yahoo.com

This means there is no userid because you didn't use that yahoo mail from past 3 years that's why the yahoo will automatically delete your account if it's not access from long time.

I cant go on to sign in with yahoo.but i can open the yahoo mail and when i click it,it says the web cannot be found (HTTP 4040 not found) ,i need to go to my email add as soon as possible

Because you are in a hurry to get to your mail you can type yahoo mail into google, this will take you to the mail to sign in and use your mail. If the problem is with the yahoo software on your PC when you have time just uninstall it and redownload. this should fix the problem. If you need help doing that please let me know. I would be happy to help.
