Sounds to me like you need a video card to me, You may try reinstalling the drivers for your present video( I am assuming you are using the integrated video ),all drivers for your PC can be found here

But I bet you are going to either have to replace the motherboard or buy a video card. According to the specs you will need a PCI Express X16 card. Here is one possibility for 31.00 plus shipping after rebate

or you can pick one from this list

Emachine T6216 onboard video is shot (nothing on known good monitor) Have installed new PCI-Ex16 graphics care. Need to disable onboard video. Is there a jumper on motherboard?

Have you tried entering BIOS? I beliveve that you have to press and hold F1 during boot to enter BIOS. Once in there you should be able to disable onboard video card.

My whole screen has a blueish green tint

  • Make sure the plugs are hard into the sockets, one loose pin can cause strange colour problems.
  • A faulty signal cable between PC and monitor can also cause colour problems, try a different cable if possible
  • Try it on a different computer to find out whether the computer or the monitor is the problem. If it's the monitor and none of the above works, it will need service or replacement. If it's the computer, your video card is likely to be the problem.

I don't know what happened but my monitor is blueish and not shar

pepsi_2_cola, If after reseating the vga plug to vga connector 3-5 times and the problem still persists, you will need to see about having the unit refurbished with new "switch-mode-power-supply"/ "inverter board" and possibly new "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" installed. visit YOUTUBE before doing the refurb thing! Search and view vids on "lcd monitor disassembly" , "lcd monitor repair" the longer ones are more imformative. then get back here with what you have learned about how lcd monitors fail with age and amount of total "ON" hours of use. please state the age of monitor next time! a gateway 1975 could be 4-6 years old! It could also be time for a new one! You DO KNOW that those "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" don't last forever!!!!! 12fixlouie If this was of any help please rat this response on fixya.

My 5 yr old daughter's monitor now has a blueish green cast to it. It is a PL2010M. Did she change a setting (very likely) or is there a problem?

To find out, I would browse through the on-screen menu using buttons on the monitor to find an option "Reset to default" or "Factory Settings" or something to that effect.

Monitor screen changes from regular color to a green tinted screen?

Looks like you need to purchase a new monitor. If it's too worn out then it's the outcome. I also had the same problem before and I ended up buying a new one. You should not experience that thing if it's new.

Power button is flashing green

These models are prone to shorting of the inverter drive transistors, 2sc5707. An in-circuit ohm meter test will reveal which are shorted if any. They should be replaced in pairs even if only one is shorted. Bad solder joints on the transformer can cause them to short so look for bad solder.

Monitor Black, Green Power Light Flashes Monitor is 4 yrs. old

Assuming you've already checked your driver and system settings, tried a different monitor, and checked the cable and connector pins, this would almost certainly be a problem with the power or signal circuit board inside the monitor.
