Using 2Logitech G25 steering wheels on Playstation 3
I bought 2 playseats with G25 racing wheels along to be able to have some fun with my buddy @home. We are using it on a playstation 3 but we havent found a single game that worked completely. Single player, most of the time, works fine. As soon as we try to use both wheels on, lets say NFS, carbon, which is supported by the G25. We can drive for a few minutes and then player 2s controls freak out staying stuck in throttle and direction. A few minutes later player 1 gets the same issue. Other games (nfs most wanted) the game doesnt recognize the 'start' button on the buttons but does recognize them for player 1 so we cant get past the car selection. Any help is kindly appreciated or i just wasted 1200€ =/

Plug the device into your console. In a racing game,
Go to options, Logitech Racing Wheels, Steering Settings. Steering
type=simulation. Power-Assisted Steering=Off. Force Feedback is up to
you (I use 8).
Then, exit Steering Settings and scroll right. The G25 is not listed in
the options menu. Use the DFP to map the controls. Paddle shifters are
L1 and R1. Buttons on wheel are L2 and R2. D-pad is same as DS3, as are
the four black buttons above it. The four red buttons are (from left to
right), L3, Select, Start, R3. The forward/back on the sequential
shifter can also be mapped if you choose to do so. Hope this helps.
The best way to tell is to do a calibration test and if it is not recognizing your wheel than you may want to send it in to logitech. The g25 is a gear driven wheel and maybe something went wrong with them on the inside.
Well, the game has to first be compatable for the MAD CaTz Steering Wheel. The Mad CaTz Steering Wheel is compatable with almost any racing game. Instead Of Using the Pedal for the game, he can use the X button that is ON the Steering wheel.
i have a g25 wheel on my ps3 it is simply plug and play.
if you struggle with buttons check this out it has all the functions: Buttons for the G25 wheel and PS3 Top 4 The Black ones Top-triangle-cancel-reverse(gear to back car up) Left-square-cancel Right-circle-E_brake Bottom-X-enter You can also use the gas pedal for enter Bottom 4 buttons The Red ones Far left-no function Second button-Change view Third button-Pause-quick exit replay at the end of race-This button will also speed up the winnings (to keep from waiting with the cup spinning around so you can get back to racing) Fourth button-best race line for license test Buttons on wheel Left-look back (default) Right-nitro (default) I change these two buttons around myself so I have the nitro on the left. D-pad-same as the controller up,down, left, right. For menue use. Also for (during race) Look back-bottom pad Look left-left pad Look right-right pad To change any of the button functions use the DFP settings in the options menue. I have not used the wheel in photo mode. The only thing you can't do with the wheel is "exit" game. I also never have my controller on during gameplay I only turn it on to exit the game. If anyone needs anymore help with this wheel give me a shout-back and I'll try my best to help. One last thing make sure your wheel is in the far left port(port 1) or port 3
I had the same problem yesterday. If you look at the setup diagram (http://www.onpole.com/playseats/playseat_logitech_g25_gearshift_holder-c159645p159651.html), you will see that the under carriage is removed from the g25 gear shift. I removed the two screws, and then worked a flathead screwdriver into the seam. I literally had to break this section off. It took a significant amount of force. However, it did not otherwise harm the unit, and now it fits perfectly onto my podium. Problem solved!
Hi Guys, I have found your solution. If all the buttons work, but the
steering does not, it's because the buttons are powered by the USB
bus. The electric engine of the wheel need really juice from the power
supply. I have just bought a G25 and all the buttons worked fine, but
turning the wheel was completely undetected. The power supply was cold
as a supermodel heart. I have just put a new power supply and now all
the things work perfectly. By the way, my thanks to all the other guys
that posted the G25 issues, it really helped me out.
