They doo get pretty hot be sure you have air flow pushing air from front and you might have to put some sheet metal along the back portion of the wall as a heat sheld.

Our pilot will lite but when we turn tha nob it will not start up

make sure you have turned the control knob to the "on" position. this is a milivolt system. the pilot make all the electricy to run the burner. make sure the pilot os blue and torch like not yellow and lazy. on the gas valve there are 3 wire connection point. one has a red wire one a white wire and the other lets say a black. with the thermostat turned down all the way jumper the red wire post to the one that doesn't have the white wire connected to is. this will by pass the thermostat. did it come on great check for loose connection didn't come on dang pilot generator may be weak and need to be replaced

I don't think my pilot is lite. I need to know How to light the pilot

Hi, open the front panel of the furnace, At the bottom of the furnace you will see a gas valve with a red button, or nob of some kind. Place the nob on pilot, then push in and light the gas coming out of the pilot don't let go of the button for at least 30 seconds because the sensor will not detect flame. If this dose not work you make have a bad gas valve or a bad pilot generator.

may be not if its high voltage no but if its low voltage going to the nob well yea if it has just two wires going to the nob yes you just need a t-stat that uses batt.

How do you hook up the gas line

Is there a gas line at the installation location? If you mean where on the heater, Then please tell me why you ask? Isn't it sticking out the side or back? If not, you may have to take a panel off that should have a hole in it and install a fitting to hook the flewable gas line. Its ther and the main gas valve is or should have a open threaded hole the fitting goes into. The flex line come with the fittings.. Good Luck, Ned

My reddy heater will run for a minute and then quit ?

Checkfor an air leak somewhere in the system. Just the slightest little bit will cause this kind of problem. Possibly a loose fitting air line, or a crack in the burner head- Doesnt take much of a leak. Best way is to use soapy water and just look fr the bubbles. Watch out for the fan blades!!!!!!!!
