Flame turns off rematurely

It cycles at 40 sec. on then goes off and immediately the glow bar/igniter comes back on and stays on for 3 min. before the gas valves open for the flame. it repeats all over again.

That is normal. The gas does not stay on constantly. That would burn the clothes. The gas assembly is controlled by a Klixon mounted on the blower housing. As the air comes through the blower The Klixon also known as the cycling thermostat judges air temp and turns the gas assembly on and off. Here is a video explanation:

90% of all gas dryers lighting intermittently is resolved with new coil packs on the gas valve. The coils are replacable fairly easily and inexpensive.

SOURCE: After first Ignition cycle igniter stays on too briefly to open gas valve gas.

Valid Most likely the problem with your dryer is the coils for the gas valve. Remove the access door (on the bottom right side on the front panel) and you can see the gas valve with three coils on top of it. They are coming as a kit with complete instruction. The part number for this kit is AP2669614.You can buy it here http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=SrmyP8LkIos&offerid=92089.542517043&type=10&subid=

SOURCE: dryer wont heat

About all that is left to replace is the flame sensor mounted at 9o'clock on burner flame tube, but I would double check your airflow, This is CRUCIAL to the normal operation of the dryer.
Also, a lint filter with an invisible coating from fabric sheets can cause an airflow disruption, try running without clothes and the filter removed.
Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint.

Dryer runs, can see burner is firing but heat setting seems stuck on ;Delicate cycle. Taking 3 hours to dry a load of towels.

gas coil condensors may not be working properly as they set the gas pressure needed to keep flame going hot. can check them with a multi meter however if flames stays on you may want to check the venting system first u might be surprised bad venting can slow down drying. check in machine and at exhaust to home. Again Each time you see the glow bar igniter come on it should ignite the gas burner. If you find the glow bar igniter glowing red for a short time and then fading off without any burner ignition would indicate weak solenoid coils. The coils are mounted on top of the gas valve and they both will need to be removed and replaced. In order to access the solenoid coils will require removing the lint filter, removing the two screws which was hidden by the lint filter and raising the top and removing the front panel.

Igniter starts to glow for 3-5 sec while making noise every minute or so

Check the thermocouple it is going bad or already has and that is why the gas valve is not staying open.

Goodman furnace Model GDS80703AXBB -fan comes on then igniter light comes on, then burners turn on but shut off right away and wont stay lit. Now igniter light wont come on so burners not coming on at...

Sounds like either the flame sensor is not working.
The sequence for starting the furnace is:
1. extraction fan on
2. pressure sensor (for fan)
3. ignitor (spark or glow plug) comes on
4. gas valve opens up
5. ignition of flame
6. flame sensor (or temperature sensor)
7. plenum temp. sensor
8. main fan starts
It is most likely that the flame sensor is dirty or gone,
or (and I hope not), the module is gone and needs to
be replaced.

Kitchen aid dryer / heat flame not staying on after 20 secs

Sounds like your gas valve is fine, if it comes on at all, its good. A air flow restriction would cause a overheat condition and shut down the burner. Once it cools back down the burner would re-ignite and repeat the cycle. The sensor on the left of the burner is the flame sensor and the flame wouldn't come on at all if it was bad. You've already changed the coil kit so the valve is fine, disconnect the vent from the back of the dryer and see if the problem goes away. If the problem stays, I would suspect the thermostat. Good luck.

Gas neptune dryer fires up for 45 sec. to 1 min, then goes out

Could be a couple different things,Possibly a thermostat or high limit that is kicking out too soon, also has a flame sensor next to the burner that can come and go.if you have a toggle switch or pushbutton switch you can unplug the unit take the two wires off the flame sensor (black box about the size of a cigarette pack on the left of the burner)plug them into the switch start the dryer Turn the switch on till the igniter glows bright, turn the switch off and the burner will light if it stays lit at least till it gets to temp replace the flame sensor.(It won't cycle with out flipping the switch each time)

This sounds like a flame sensor problem. No signal from sensor will shut down gas valve. Check flame sensor position in flame/or replace

Kenmore Gas Dryer ignites then stops heating after ten minutes.

If the glow bar comes back on and the gas does not light, replace the gas valve coils. If the ignitor does not come back on,replace the flame sensor.
