This looks like the cables connected to the
T-CON board may have worked loose.
The
T-CON or timing controller, is what sends the video signal to the LCD (sometimes called LCD controller). The cable connectors on this board have very small contacts. Sometime some of them can become loose because of heat,
contamination, shaking etc.
IF you know how to work on electronics or have a friend with knowledge/skill you can repair it.
DO THIS ONLY IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK ON ELECTRONICS.
>
Disconnect all cables/cords on the back of the set.
>Lay the set face down on cloth covered flat surface.
>Remove the back of the set.
>Remove the metal shield covering the
T-CON board. This board generally located in the center near the top.
>You can wiggle the
T-CON cables around (for better contacts) to try and get the streaks to go away.
> Set tv upright so
it is stable.
> Reconnect the signal source and power cord.
DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON BACK OF SET!
IT IS ELECTRIC !
> Use the remote to turn on the set. IF the streaks are gone, then turn set off and
UNPLUG THE SET and
remove the
input signal cable.
>Lay the set face down on cloth covered flat surface
.
> Replace the shield over the
T-CON board.
> Replace the back cover.
Resume operation.
IF moving the cable does not improve the signal you can
disconnect/reconnect the cables and see what the picture looks like.
Be careful not to damage the connectors. They may have clip that must be released first before removing.
IF disconnect/reconnect the cables does not work you can purchase another
T-CON board and install it. The boards are relatively inexpensive.
I think the board will look something like this;
cabke cimpany says it is getting power
