Akia 32 inch lcd turn on then shuts down, the only way to get it to power up is to disconnect power cable, let set for 20 to 40 seconds, reconnect power cable and then it will power up with no probelms. Happens with remote or on-set power switch.

Onyko tx nr616 receiver keeps shutting off. Only stays on for approximately 3 seconds. Can you help?

The amp protection circuit has been activated. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately. Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and reconnect an input and a pair of speaker wires onto the unit. If the receiver still does not turn on than you will have to bring it in for service. Turn up the volume and if the receiver doesn't shut down, power off the receiver and add another pair of speakers. Power up the unit again and turn up the volume. If it doesn't shut down, power off the unit again. Now connect all your input sources and turn on your receiver. If the unit shuts down again, your unit will need to be further serviced at an authorized Onkyo service center.

I have an vizio 32"

This looks like the cables connected to the T-CON board may have worked loose.
The T-CON or timing controller, is what sends the video signal to the LCD (sometimes called LCD controller). The cable connectors on this board have very small contacts. Sometime some of them can become loose because of heat, contamination, shaking etc.
IF you know how to work on electronics or have a friend with knowledge/skill you can repair it.

DO THIS ONLY IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK ON ELECTRONICS.

> Disconnect all cables/cords on the back of the set.
>Lay the set face down on cloth covered flat surface.
>Remove the back of the set.
>Remove the metal shield covering the T-CON board. This board generally located in the center near the top.
>You can wiggle the T-CON cables around (for better contacts) to try and get the streaks to go away.
> Set tv upright so it is stable.
> Reconnect the signal source and power cord. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON BACK OF SET!
IT IS ELECTRIC !
> Use the remote to turn on the set. IF the streaks are gone, then turn set off
and UNPLUG THE SET and remove the input signal cable.
>Lay the set face down on cloth covered flat surface.
> Replace the shield over the T-CON board.
> Replace the back cover.

Resume operation.

IF moving the cable does not improve the signal you can disconnect/reconnect the cables and see what the picture looks like. Be careful not to damage the connectors. They may have clip that must be released first before removing.

IF disconnect/reconnect the cables does not work you can purchase another T-CON board and install it. The boards are relatively inexpensive.

I think the board will look something like this;

Printer cycles on/off and displays "improper shut down"

Got the same problem following a message "Printer ink failure" code 0xc19a0035. Instructions say to shut down using button on/off. But printer refused to shutdown. After 30 minutes, I disconnected power cable. Removed cartridges. Reloaded cartridges. Reconnected power cable and got "Improper shutdown" message with continuous cycle. Solution: 1. While the printer is still turned on, unplug all cables and cords at the back of the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord also from the wall outlet...
3. Wait for two minutes.
4. Reconnect power cord to the wall outlet first.
5. Press and hold the pound (#) and six (6) buttons.
6. While holding down the two buttons, reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer and after two seconds, release pound and six buttons.
7. Turn on the printer if it turns off... and it's fixed.

Lcd 32 inch akia

The possible solutions at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply. The other problem could be a defective back light inverter board but you would need to measure the 24VDC that powers up that board, if the voltage is lower then 20VDC or is missing; then your power supply is defective.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to [email protected]

Vizio LCD 37 Inch Turns Off Randomly

I had a similar problem with my 32 inch plasma tv. I called vizio's
1 800 number and the guy said to unplug the tv from the wall and hold down the power button for a minute and then plug the tv back in outlet and turn on. And it works I guess from what I understood from his heavy accent was that the tv retains power and this resets it somehow. hope that was helpfull!!
