Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

5 Answers

I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ25 DVD Recorder and in the set up menu you can change the remote control settings so the control you are using does not effect any other panasonic equipment, i did this and now the DVD remote does not work it only turns the player on or off and carn't get back into the setting to change it back, any ideas is the a reset code or anything?

Please check selecting remote option in user manual of DMR-EZ25 and I'm sure such info are there.
Or call Panasonic Support number written on related manual.

Try this to reset ----

1. Select the desired setting for the Audio/Video selector switch.
2. Set the Use/Learn switch to 'Learn'.

3. Press and hold the 'CD' + Volume down V button (The learn LED will light up and go out again)

4. Set the Use/Learn switch back to 'Use'.

Thanks

Go into the functions menu and check for initial installation or factory restore

    ==========================+++++++=====
Solution is to "reset" the unit - then go back into the menu system and set the clock. How to reset the unit (don't worry - anything on the HD stays intact):
    1) go to DVD mode
    2) remove any DVD in player & close tray
    3) on front panel, behind door - press & hold BOTH channel up & down keys for 5-10 secdons -- until you see a message that the system is rebooting
    4) wait till it reboots, go back in the menu and set the time.

Hi, when i press any key on the dvd recorder remote (panasonic dmr-e55) i comes up with remote dvd 1 everytime and wont do anything else, weve tried umplugging it 2 but that doesnt help, do u have any...

Very easy fix.

Your DVD recorder can be set up to accept remote contol signals on any one of three channels. DVD 1, DVD 2 or DVD 3. Your remote can be set up to send signals on any of these channels. You need to make sure your recorder and remote are set to the same channel.

Your recorder is telling you that it is set to receive remote control signals on channel DVD 1. This means your remote control is currently set for a different channel.

Assuming that you have a genuine Panasonic remote, do the following, On your remote press the "Enter" button and hold it down. Then press the "1" button at the same time for two seconds, then release both. This will change your remote so it sends signals on DVD 1 which will match your recorder.

Those clever people at Panasonic realise that you will be delighted with their products and will probably have several of their appliances in use. The different channels avoids switching all your Panasonic gadgets at the same time. Clever huh?
Best wishes

Blu-ray remote keeps triggering DVD recorder (and vice-versa)

You can "re-tune" your EX75 and its remote control by following the instructions on page 52 of the manual. This explains how to change the mode of the remote control. In short, you press the FUNCTIONS button on your remote control, get into the setup menu and select "others". The remote control entry is at the top of the list. You can change the setting from here.

Your DMR is telling you that it is set to listen for RC2 but your remote is transmitting RC1.

Two choices for a fix:

1. Put the remote back into RC2 mode by simply holding both the ENTER and 2 button for at least 5 seconds.

OR

2. Reconfigure the DMR to listen for RC1 by going into the function menus and selecting SETUP. Look for the remote control option. Change it to 1, it will currently display the value 2.

Enjoy.
