Our game cube console got dropped and as such the lid does not shut.

I have to keep tapping the open button to get it to close

If the cover isnt staying down then the button that is connected to the thing that holds down the cover is gone. does it open if you let go of it. if it doesn't then the spring is gone. try buying a new lid it will come with the spring, but you have to buy it online. if none of that works than send it in to get fixed

Nintendo NES won't allow me to lock the cartridge in. It keeps popping back up.

Sounds like a problem with the spring mechanism. I'm afraid you'll have to open it up and see what the damage is specifically. If it doesn't look repairable, you can remove the springs completely so there's nothing keeping you from inserting a cartridge. The drawback with that plan is that it will be difficult to remove cartridges after that.

I have 2 nintendo game cube and they out of 20

If each system will read different specific games, then its the systems. You can get them repaired, but they are honestly so cheap now that you would actually be losing money by not just replacing one (pretty sure it still works out alright for two, just not sure).

Dropped DS Lite - rattling

L2 inductor comes out sometimes when dropped and the DS keeps in fixed amber light when charger is plugged in. But you found it fast so good luck. Its pretty sure your DS will work again after soldering the L2 again in its place near the power switch. Just get the battery and charger out before doing anything to avoid a blown fuse also.

Program termination suddenly pops up while playing

This window also pops up if you open up the umd lid, and if it just randomly appears it might be that the home botton is jammed up or that the lid is not closed tightly enough and any vibrations would make the system think that the lid opened.

DS Lite shuts off when it is closed or the back is hit hard enough

Your DS is having a circuitry problem and you may have to get it sent off for repair before the problem gets worse, the cause of this could of been 1. dropped it accidentally or 2. its having a hissy fit.

New game cube problem

The two quickest and easiest way to fix the problem.
1. Take it back to the place of purchase and exchange it for another one.
2. Call Nintendo customer service 1-800-255-3700 and explain the situation.
They will probably replace it free of charge.(less shipping and handling to send in the faulty one)

Where it is new these are your best bets.

Just found this thread, **Never ever clean the lens with alcohol!** ever. most optical drive lenses are made of Polycarbonate these days and cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol will cause it to yellow and even crack. Use an *alcohol free* CD wipe wrapped around a Q-tip or use *alcohol free* lens cleaning fluid available from any opticians. If cleaning the lens *and disks* is no help make sure your disks are the same region as your cube, if they are then you are looking at a physical hardware problem. This can be as simple as a cable that's been jarred loose or as major as a dead drive/drive controller so where you go from here is down to whether you are confident enough to take you're cube apart or not? If you are re-post this to the premium forum, if not you need to check and see if your cube is still in warranty or not, it's not likely to be but this will depend where you are in the world, when you bought it and where you bought it from. Alternatively this may be a good excuse to buy a Nintendo Wii as the Wii will happily play your cube games and support your cube controllers/GBA connect cables/cube memory cards. The only Gamecube device the Wii will not support is the Gameboy player.

easy... depends. they have propriety screws, which take a special custom made screw driver to open. but after that, you're home free. You can find a tutorial on taking a gamecube apart in the following link - http://www.n-sider.com/articleview.php?articleid=197 Good luck
