ok on the board there are two wires that are identical one is a two wire plug that goes from the far right pins and goes to the upper convergence board. The other one is a three pin plug but only two wires that goes onto the three pin socket on the left and goes to the small AC filter board.I am attaching a pic of the board the red arrow goes to the small lower board on the right side. and the blue arrow goes to the board thats up above the main chassis on the left side.2_7_2013_8_34_30_am.jpg

Do it yourself Mitsubishi PIP module BYPASS

This applies to most Direct view and some projection sets made in the 1990's.

While it is possible to repair in some cases this problem it is quicker and cheaper just to bypass the module--you will no longer have the PIP function.

Here are the bypass instructions:

1.) With the set unplugged remove the back cover and locate the PIP board to the left side of the set--one wire (usually green) is soldered to the metal shield. Unsolder the lead and set it aside.

2.) The board is plugged in and you will have to release the two tabs at the bottom to pull it out.

3.) Locate the pins on the large plug (should be 12 pin) on the bottom of the board.

4.) You need to CUT the copper foil traces with an Exacto knife on pins 5, 7, 9. and 11 near the plug so they are no longer connected to the plug.

5.) You install (on the bottom of the board) a 4.7 mfd filter cap with the + on pin 7 and the - or negative on pin 9.

6.) You install (on the bottom of the board) a 4.7 mfd filter cap with the + on pin 5 and the - (negative) on pin 11.

7.) Reinstall the PIP board and make sure the caps do not touch anything near that board; solder the ground wire back to the shield.

The reason the board fails is because the surface mounted caps dry out and or leak onto the circuit board---there are a lot of them.

SD Tech

I have seen shops replace some of the caps and get it to work but sooner or later more go bad so usually it is better just to bypass the board and not have the PIP feature anymore.

I did touched my bios and nothing when i start my pc anymore! help! Bye! I would want the original configuration please i'm really stuck and i'm a beginner! Thank you!

You have to reset the bios. unplug the computer and remove the side panel. isually the left side looking at the computer. You'll see the motherboard. Look fot the disc type flat bettery on the board. remove the battery (pay attention which way the nattery faces). Now look for the jumper cal, sometimes red or black. It will be labled bios or clr cmos on the board. It's near the bettery. the cap is on 2 pins with one pin open. remove the cap (jumper) and move it to the next pin thats open. if it's on the center pin and right pin move it to the center pin and left pin. after it's there a few seconds move it back. reinstall the battery and plug it in. turn on the computer and it will boot with a bioes screen. set time and date.

On my WS-55511 TV, after a power interruption, will not power up. All i get is a continuos blinking green light.I tried unpluging the tv several times, no luck.

Good Day,

LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check for 12 volts at connect or PF pin 10 and 28 volts at connector PF pin 11, (on the board on the right hand side, but on the left side of board towards the back of TV). If the supplies are correct suspect a problem in the DM Assembly (part # 955C230002). Part is not available for replacement.

Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B03, C9B13, C9B14, C9B17 and C9B18 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM Power PCB located within the DM Assembly. If they are bad or not, replace them all with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD, 16V, 105C).

The DM (Digital Module) Assembly is located on the extreme left of the chassis from the back. It is standing in a vertical position. Remove cover and you see the Cap’s in one corner of the inside PCB.

Good Luck, Big IRISH.

The picture on my Mitsubishi Model VS-45607 is not staying on track and scrolling continually

Good Day,
It sounds like you have a bad cap or IC. Replace C2P05 100 ufd 16 volts, off Pin 3 of IC2P01. It is on the Signal Board. IC2P01 Part # 270P466020 (stand-up type mounted on heat sink). The Signal Board is the the board on the left hand side looking at the TV from the back. The parts are on the right side of the Signal Brd towards the middle and back. Replace it even if it checks good. Look at other Caps in the general area and if you see black stuff on the negitive leg of those caps(replace them also).

Good Luck, Big Irish.

Broken touchpad connector

I suggest you replace the motherboard. A recent search on ebay turned up three ranging in price from $18 to $85. Soldering a motherboard by hand has a very high failure rate. It's easy to bridge or scratch something and fry the board. You could of course try to do it and if it fails get a replacement board.

My TV will not turn on

There are four capacitors located at the top right hand corner of the main board,10v 1000micro farrads 105c.if they are slightly bulging at the top and a black substance is coming from them replace them all.remember to get the positive and neutral pins the correct way round. If you are not confident with electronics and soldering get a is fairly easy and cheap to repair

How can i solve or troubleshoot my jvc 21 inch tv?only a line horizontal is present..i suspected it the problem is in the vecrtical ic but how can i assure that and what are the symptoms of a cracked ic?in...

If thhe ic has a crak that you can see then it is no good replace the ic If looks good then look real close where it is soluder ontothe board for little crakes in the soluder where the pins are. I would resolder the ic anyway becouse some thime you cannot see the crakes but the pins are loose. Now there is some capasistors in that cerit also that go bad.You would ned a capasistor checking machine to check these out of cerit. These capasistors that im talking about are usley black with writeing on the side like 10u 25 v this is not for the ones you have in your set just trying to let you know what im talking about. There is a pos and neg side to this kind of cap and they have to be put in just the way they are took out. Try resoludering the ic first then see what happens if it looks ok, if that does not fix it replace the ic and caps. This ic will be mounted to a heatsink by the way.

Sony KV-36XBR800 won't turn on and red led on the front blinks 6 times

For 6 blinks Pls check following area.

Low HV Shutdown:
On the D Board.
Check IC8004/pin 7 should be 7.4v.
Check IC8006/pin 2 should be 2.5v if lower will trigger shutdown by causing pin 1 to turn on.
Check IC8006/pin 3 reference voltage 2.2v.
IC8006/pin 1 normally at 0v. If high
turns D5007 ON which turns the latch circuit Q6532,
Q6530, and Q6527 ON and turns the AC relay RY6501 OFF.

And NOTE: 6 blinks also can be Low B+ protection.

Unregulated 7.5 v from the power supply to 5v reg IC504 on the A Board. 5v to M Board Q2314

to CPU IC2300/pin 43. If 5v missing set will shutdown with 6 blinks.I think this will help you to solve this issue..

Dont forgety to Rate!!

Good Luck

If that board has three connectors going to it (10 pin, 9 pin and 41 pin) then it is the PDP Module but no luck on finding a source for it. RCA is bad about parts supply on thier TV's the past several years.
