Re: webcame without sp2
Logitech has a wide gama of cameras that had drivers only on xp ...not that work on xp only ...but I will advise you to proceed on a Microsoft ...not a very expensive one ...just about 20 bucks...the issue is that cause the cameras are built by microsoft ..you will never have any driver related issues...I bought one for myself a few month ago ...and Im very pleased ...and I payed only 15 E on it ...it works wonderful and in has a wider lent than al the cameras I see until now..I mean the quality and the resolution is far better .from that on the market with double the price ...good luck !

You will have to unplug your webcam from your computer and install the software again. It is important that you first uninstall your Logitech camera software from your computer. You will be prompted by the software to plug in your camera, do so that time only.
I am sure your webcam will work fine with Xp , but I will suggest that you make a clean install. A clean install can possible solve your problem, if your first installation of the software for your webcam didn't install properly or another program in your computers memory was conflicting with it.
You can read more about this procedure at Logitechs site :
Visit the Microsoft hardware support page http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ICE&type=LifeCam&sku=68A-00001 Fill in the details and click 'GO' Click on the link:- "Microsoft LifeCam Readme and Troubleshooting Information" All the information you require should be found here, Including the latest software to download and Customer Support Check out any additional software you have to download as well as the Lifecam.
Procedure Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software Disconnect your webcam Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer Restart computer Download the Installation package from Microsoft Run the installer and choose your options when prompted Connect your webcam when prompted.
In addition to the webcam software you may have to download some support software separately. I have a Logitech and it needs Microsoft DirectX 10 to perform correctly. As its a new webcam I suggest you contact Zebtronics from their support website and ask them what the requirements are - you may need SP3 for example
If the software comes on a CD-ROM disk,
borrow a friend's computer, and copy the files onto a USB memory-stick. Then, connect that memory-stick to your computer, and install from this copy of the disk.
Plug the camera in -- Windows will ask you if it is allowed to connect to the Windows Update web-site, to automatically find, download, and install the the correct software. Say "yes, this time".
