If it's connected to your wi-fi connection and it's not working then there's something wrong with the BT hub if it's not connected to the wi-fi then it has to be a problem with that , try unplugging it and leave it for 5 mins and plug it back in and try it then . that usually works for me
Hope this helps.
The touch doesnt have a "key" this is the key from the Wi-fi spot you are trying to connect to. You will need the person that owns that wi-fi to provide that to you. The itouch simply connects to the wi-fi and uses it for internet. Hope this helps.
It has to be thru a Wi-Fi. Go to your settings and make sure the Wi-Fi is turned on. It does not access the net on it's own like a cell phone. It rides on a Wi-Fi. Check your settings be sure the Wi-Fi is on, if you have Wireless internet in your home you will have to set up the wep settings, or your router numbers.
I had the same problem. This is a router problem. If you are comfortable with going in and re-configuring some things with your router , you maybe able to repair this. Try changing the channel your router is operating on. Make sure your router is not near a telephone or other device that may operate on or near the same frequency. This could affect your ability to be a able to connect via wifi.
Go into Preferances, go to Wi-Fi, touch the blue cycle next to the Wi-Fi router you're conected to. Scroll to the bottom of the page and touch "Renew Lease", touch "Renew Lease" in the pop up. This may or may not work the first time. Either way, power off your iTouch by holding the "Power button" then sliding the slider. Turn it back on, go back to Preferences/Wi-Fi... Renew Lease... Try to open Safari. If it doesn't work the first time, no worries, try it all again. This is the solution, but if your iTouch gets glitchy, it can take a few tries. The most I've ever seen was 3 complete tries... "Renew Lease, Full Restart (slide to power off), Renew Lease"... one. Repeat!
don't let the iTouch connect to the wi-fi network it detected automatically - try setting up a new wi-fi network from scratch.
the setup screens will ask for network name (the SSID) the security protocol (probably WPA-PSK if you are having all this trouble) and the password (pre shared key)
