I have a Verbatim Clon 500GB external hard drive which only holds 4.65 GB; why??

Windows 7Might not be formatted correctly. Check Disc Management under Administrative tools. This will give the true size including space that has not assigned as a partition.

Internet explorer operating slowly vista internet explorer 8 Comcast broadband

Hi, fw4golf.
There's a few things you can try. First, try disabling or uninstalling any toolbars you may use with Internet Explorer. They tend to do more harm than good. Also, try clearing out your cache and cookies. Go up to Tools, Internet Options, and then Clear Browsing History. That should help.
Thanks for posting.

I can't get my photos out of adobe!

Barring purchasing an unlock code, which is no longer possible, the local images are stored on the hard disk in JPEG format. Try searching for JPEG files on the hard disk: Start > Find > Files > images.

Remote images, if you uploaded them to Photoshop.com, are of course on their servers even if you did delete any local copy; but they're still YOUR property. You never waived the right of ownership. So you are entitled to have them back by paying a reasonable shipment and handling fee.

If you did delete the local copies, though, my advice would be to invest in a RAID-1 local hard disk storage for the future. It may be costly, but it's greatly effective.

Symantec antivirus

Try going int Control panel>add/remove program> look for your Symantic program> hit "remove".  When it opens it should give you 2 or 3 choices.  One is "repair". Hit repair.  It might ask you for the install "discs".  Good luck.

If it doesn't give you any other options hit cancel and call your computer guy.

The hard disk in drive D: is not accessible

Well this message can be two things(if not more) One of them being that the disk has security set and you wil need to change those settings if you want access to the drive the other scenario being that a program has locked the disk for exclusive access. Assuming you are using Windows XP. To check the security go to the properties of the disk then click on security(Tf the security tab isn't there, Open my computer then click Tools->Folder Options then the View Tab. Scroll to the bottom/last option then uncheck Use Simple File-Sharing press OK/Apply) Now back to Properties of the disk then Click the security tab. You'll need to try this first and tell me what's there, or if u got any error message etc. My explanation might be to long if i try to explain every possibility. regards, babb
