KW-NX700, constant "lost gps signal" all of a sudden!

Everything has been working fine since July when this first came out. About 2 weeks ago I loaded the new firmware/update, everything was still working fine, now all of a sudden no GPS signal. Driving me nuts!

Same happened to me 2 weeks ago. I updated the firmware to 1.2.6 but I still have the . Since I leave in Montreal, Canada, I'm wondering if the cold temperature could be the problem.

  • Amar Pattani Dec 28, 2008

I've noticed the same issue, but it is not constant. I actually noticed the problem before installing the firmware update to 1.2.6.0. (I was running 1.1.3 I think prior). I do see the Lost GPS signal message, but it is intermittant.

Same happened to me just a couple days ago. I tried to fix it by upgrading the firmware but it doesn't do any help. Lucky me that the place I bought it at agree to replace my unit for FREE (I bought it at Mickey Shorr).

Without any warning, I suddenly got the same message. Now the GPS function is useless!!

I know this may sound like it has nada to do with the signal but disconnecting the ipod and resetting the 7000 worked well for me.. Something about the ipod source seems to interrupt the signal on mine

How to stop the Wireless Adapter For droping The internet connection Every 1 minute

What are specifications you are using for your wireless network? B, G or N, WEP or WPA-1 or 2 encryption, etc.
If everything was working fine at the beginning and no one has changed any of the network settings then that indicates an issue on the laptop.
You can try to reinstall the driver by downloading it from the Acer website as a Windows Update could have installed an 'updated' driver that doesn't work properly.

I bought a Nikon D90 a few weeks ago. It worked

Your camera may be faulty. Or you might not be "in focus". The D90 in any of the auto modes won't take a picture if the 'in-focus indicator' isn't on. If that indicator is blinking, then it means that it is not able to focus on the subject. It's all in the user manual.

D-link WBR-2310 wont set up. A long time ago when we first bought this router, we had it set up and working fine. We kept getting disconnections every now and then so we bought a new Belkin router, which...

The issue I see is that the lights all are lighting up. I'd bet it is caused by some type of short or like a power outage or surge (remember surge protectors basically do nothing at all). If I were to guess, that's it. Other than that, I would flash the firmware back to original if it lets me.

My Samsung BD-P1400 is frozen on "load" and disc tray won't open

My player worked fine couple of days ago, then last night when powered up, message was "load" and it stayed like this forever, and tray open would not work. Tried everything, nothing worked. Left unplugged from power for 24 hrs and bingo everything worked as should. I suspect that the unit is still trying to load info from last disc which I stopped in the middle of some bonus material, even though the disc was no longer in the tray.

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Can't download files from Overdrive files

Make sure that either your Rhapsody or Overdrive subscription is still good and resync all files in Windows Media Player.

If that fails, you'll have to start from scratch:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My Sansa Kepps Telling Me I Have Bad Tracks

Some DRM-encrypted files have a fixed time limit for how long you can use/play a song. after the time period has lapsed, they will show up as "Error - File Format..." (this is only one possibility)

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab.
