You have a corrupt cookie, clean out your internet temp files in tools>internet options. Run IE again and it should now show your home page. You could also have a form of spyware, so check for suspicious add ons in int explorer

Hi, if you have put in a incorrect security Network Key you will recieve the error, if you know its correct try this usually works, Load Internet Explorer you will get page not displayed, click on tools, then internet options, click on security and there is four pictures click on each one then click on default level, do the same for each picture then click apply, then click advanced then restore defaults, apply it, then click ok, close internet explorer then give it a try and hopefully it should work. All the best John

I got a new 7 inch via8650 netbook for my daughter, it will not stay connected on wifi..keeps disconnecting as soon as it connects, any suggestions?

While wireless Internet technology allows us greater mobility in the home and around town, you may also encounter issues with getting a good signal. This common problem has a variety of origins and also depends on your connection method.

Terminology
"Wireless Internet" can refer to two different things: a person using a laptop modem card to communicate over a cell phone network, or an environment where the computers are connecting wirelessly to a nearby high-speed modem. b> Laptop Broadband Networking The user with the laptop modem card can resolve the issue the same way a cell phone user does, since they are connecting to a cell phone network: Find a location where you can get stronger signal strength. b> Mobilizing for Signal Strength b> Terrain can block the laptop user from "seeing" a nearby cell tower, and buildings in an urban environment, like at a coffee shop or at an airport, can cause the same problem. In both cases, seeking higher ground or more a more open area can improve your signal. b> Home Wireless b> In the home, Wi-Fi access is at its strongest when there is not a wall or floor between you and your modem. Sometimes a microwave or cordless phone will also interfere with the signal. b> Drivers and Viruses b> Updating your drivers packages of software that your computer uses to recognize its hardware can solve performance glitches. You can also use an anti-virus program to scan for malicious programs that could be interfering.

Hi There, I have an Aspire 5610/ BL50 running on Vista. Im having problem connecting to a 3 broadband dongle. Its showing 5 blue bars signal strength but failing to connect. When I use it on another...

you should check the set APN on the vista pc. or if settings are inserted by default, simply uninstall and reinstall the 3 broadband dongle. if problem persists, and you are sure it has worked before, do system restore to a date you think connection was ok. malware or virus may cause modems to fail initializing connection.
thanks for using fixya.

How come my sony vaio vgc-rb52 desktop goes on but i get no signal

if you are referring to the signal strength of your wireless internet, first try to turn off both devices your laptop and your wireless modem or router. Now if you have a portable usb broadband connection and the signal is showing weak or no signal at all call your internet provider so they can check if they have any server issues.

Won't connect to my wireless Internet

I will be amazed if this review meets the public eye before it is skimmed out of the pile but know that it is the honest truth...
I bought an Acer netbook last week, could get wireless connection but was unable to surf the web. I called customer support and they insisted that I would have to purchase technical support which would essentially cost another $200.
I decided to take the computer(my fathers christmas gift) back to try another one because the additional $200 was over my budget. After I exchanged the laptop for another computer to only come to face with the same problem, I was assured that if I purchased the support that a technition would be able to resolve the matter.
After over 3 hours they were unable to resolve the matter and told me that there was nothing further that they could do. I filed a claim for a refund on the technical support and was (VERY RUDELY I MIGHT ADD) denied. I'm really not sure which is worse, the customer support or the product. After my experiences not only would I not recommend purchase, I would strongly advise against it. I hope this review helps someone before they make the same mistakes that I did.

Well,
Not always.
Vista . . .
Microsoft's mistake.
Hmm.
Have you got a different browser such as, Firefox, e-capsule private browser, etc. download them on to a USB and put it on your laptop install it and there you go.

If not try system restore

Thats all i can do.
