Hi MickspaceNET. I have an ImageRunner 3200. Lots of resets were done (not only my me) in the service menu and now lots of functions are missing. Most things I see missing are the network controls. Also when I try to access it via web browser I can open the Fiery Menu but the RemoteUI does not open... hence the problem with all the missing network control, I think it's related.

Re: Canon ImageRunner Missing Menu Functions
Fiery.. you would need to acess the fiery network controls from the touch panel. on the copier, reset up the ip address etc. reboot the fiery. Fiery are a bit different from the standard acess to a nic card on a machine. Again I really am not familiar with Cannon. Thou I would recomenend searching for a Fiery set up manual,

Wow. Ok, but you better give an atta boy with "FIXYA", cause you aint suppose to know this. We will have to go into "service mode" and this is not common knowledge as a customer can really hurt their device, and 3rd party service providers just love these tips.Awww hell, let's have some fun. ust stay with me. Dry run. Locate the "additional functions" located to the right of the didplay. Ok, you have located it, and in a moment we will press it and then release it and then press the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time and release and then we'll press the additional functions button again. This needs to be in a rather fluid motion like you do it all the time. * 2&8*. Don't give up keep trying if it dose work the first few times. Just press the "reset" button vigoriously after each attempt. At some point (perhaps your first shot [OOPS] } you will see the service mode screen, Please select the copier icon. Now the fun begins. Look across the top tabs and you will see "FUNCTION". Please press it. Now you see a new "menu" in the display. Look at the menu and highlight "CLEAR" and press "ok" at the lower right corner. New menu. use the arrows at the bottom of the screen (it may be already displayed) and find PWD-CLR. Select it and then hit the ok buton again. Press reset and exit and done and wahoo till you get to a screen that wallows the proper shutdown sequence. Or, if you have to, pull the plug as the changes we just made wont take affect till the true power cycles. You should be in good shape now. PASSWORW CLEARED. Live well.! :-)
The error code E-007 is a fixing film sensor fault, check for paper wrapped around the fixing film, foreign material blocking the film sensor, damage to the fixing film, fixing film sensor failure, or DC controller PCB failure.
you might be able to try and reset the code in service mode by hitting
the additional functions button 2&8 at the same time then the addit funct button again.. you might have to keep trying to reset the machine on and off till you are able to get in
once in service mode you hit the copier tab
then you goto the functions tab its in the middle of the screen across the top
then you will click on clear button
then the very first item on the next menu should be ERR
high light that and then click the ok button on the bottom of the screen a couple times then turn the copier on and off. hopefully the copier will come back up if it doen't then there is a problem with the fixing film and it will have to be checked out
to change the paper size for trays 1,2,4 you need to do this in service mode. to get into service mode hit the additional functions button then the 2&8 at the same time then the additional functions button again.
you should be in service mode.
then hit the copier tab...... options tab ..... then the BODY tab in that setting..... and in that menu there should a CST tab in that menu once there you should see tabs for 1 , 2 , 4 you will need to set the value for 1&2 to 18
that should set them back to letter size. email me if you have problems with it
Make sure it has its own dedicated power and not sharing power with any other device. If the power checks to be good, follow the steps below. Perfrom a Printer Reset. A Printer Reset can be done by: 1. Enter Service Mode by pressing the ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS key, then the # key. 2. Scroll through the menu using the arrow keys to the left or right of the SET key. 3. Find #7PRINTER and press the SET key. 4. While in the the #7 PRINTER menu, use the arrow keys and find #4PRINTER RESET and press thre SET key. 5. A selection of either YES or NO will appear, use the arrow key to the LEFT of the Set key to select YES. 6. After YES has been properly selected, unplug the machine and plug it back in. Following these steps can reset this code.
You can turn off department id codes from the additional functions menu but you will need to know the system manager id code to perform this. If you cannot obtain the system mgr ID code from the people you purchased it from it will require a reset done in service mode.
I might be able to help if you cannot obtain the System Manager ID code to get into the admin settings.
Hope this gets you in the right direction TankMurdock
Ok. Press the additional functions key - that is they key with the star inside it - then select 'system settings' then 'network settings' then select 'ip setting'. Once you've got into the ip settings you can enter all your own network settings. All you need to enter is IP address, subnet mask and default gateway but you'll know all that.
you press menu, copy, #
you will enter service mode.
then go over to TEST mode press set.
press 8, then 3, then 0.
Ink counter will be reset.
Then press the on/off button and it will go back to normal.
Hit Menu, Copy, #.
Go to #8 Clear, then you can access with the plus and minus buttons all functions you can clear.
If all you need is to get into service mode I will be more than happy to help. In fact, I would gladly help you further but it sounds like you know where you are heading. So, to enter service mode. Press "additional functions", then press the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time, then press "additional functions" again. That will put you in service mode . I have to assume you know where you are going and why. Be careful, and take care. SPINAL.............
