My speakers dont work

Check the following,
  • Speakers, connecting cables and Sound Card are working fine by connecting to another computer.
  • OR
  • If the connection ok increase your volume and open the cable from the pc.
Now you will touch the stereo jack, can you can listen a sound when touch the jack. If you will not get any sound, think there is the problem in your amplifier or audio system has not any voltage. To confirm the voltage check by multi miter or can go any local Technician .If the voltage is ok, think your sound system defected and should go to Technician.

  • If your sound system is ok
  • Speaker Cable connect to an audio port (Audio/Video port in system box).
  • Ensure Volume is not in MUTE / Low (in Volume Controller).
  • Audio drivers have installed.
  • To confirm follow next step or ROLL BACK THE DRIVER
http://technet.microsoft.com/hi-in/library/bb457021%28en-us%29.aspx For another check follow the Steps:
• Go to Start>
• Control panel>
• Double click on "System" Icon> (it shows the System PropertiesWindow)
• Select "Hardware" Tab>
• Select "Device Manager" Tab> (it shows the Device Manager Window)
• Select "Sound, video and game controllers">
• Expand "+" symbol> (check the audio Codec's, Legacy Audio Drivers andothers are not in Questioned Mark (?) symbol with yellow color. If there needto install the drivers). So please go there website>supports>download
Hope this helps.

Short in subwoofer wire - Altec Lansing computer speakers & sub

yes, you can splice the cables and put on a new connector, goto radio shack with the old connector and im sure they will have one you can splice right onto it. ive done this many times with varios equipment "headphones speakers etc" it may take a couple of tries to get the wiring right but if its just one speaker there will most likely be just 2 wires, if you wire it up and it doesnt quite sound right, wire it the other way. speakers will work wired backwards but wont sound quit right so if it doesnt, rewire it and it should. good luck and i hope this helps!

The speakers no longer work. are there drivers i

HI,

Speakers do not require drivers to be installed. Please check if:

1) Your power cord is connected to the socket properly
2) Check Jeck Pins are inserted properly into the speaker and to the PC and accurately. (Two to the speaker Red and Yellow & one to the PC Black.

3) Check if your sound card is installed properly or if it is installed then check it is muted from the right lower corner at the task bar.

I hope this will help resolving your problem. If you have any other problems, do let me know so that I could think further to resolve your problem.

Please do rate my solution!

Thanks

No Sound Whatsoever, Either From Speakers or Woofer

Disconnect the cable from the laptop and try to get sound out from the laptop via speakers or headphones, have a look around the sound settings.

My x230 wont work it work for a min then cut out and dont work!!!

Try and twist the jack which is connected to your PC, the solder inside could have snapped. If it has a diferent pwer source for the sound system, then power on, hold the jack and short the ends with your fingertips. If the speakers dont respond then its not getting any power, which could be simple loose connection too. Test both and then decide. If you dont have the correct driver then download from: http://www.new-drivers.com/files/speakers/Logitech/?gclid=CM_a2oOjtpkCFcQtpAod6hp-5Q........sodeep

Speakers All Cut out Including Sub When Music is Played Loud

UNPLUG THE GREEN WIRE FROM THE COMPUTER AND PLUG IT INTO A CD PLAYER IF IT WORKS BETTER ON A CD PLAYER THAN THE COMPUTER IT SELF THERE MAYBE A PROBLEM WITH THE SOUND CARD AND ALSO TRY THESE STEPS I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU I AM SURE ONE OF THEM WILL WORK.

1. Please ensure that the all the connections between the satellite speakers and the subwoofer are firmly connected.
2. Next, please connect the green colored 3.5mm audio jack to another audio device such as an iPod or an MP3 player.
3. Ensure that the SoundTouch remote control is firmly connected to the back of the subwoofer.
4. Connect the power cord from the subwoofer and connect it to another single power outlet in your house. If you have an automated voltage regulator (AVR), please connect the power cord through the AVR instead of connecting it directly to a power outlet in your house.
5. Power up the speaker system and check whether the power button on the SoundTouch remote control will light up.
6. Turn on the Matrix Mode ON. This option is on the SoundTouch remote control. This is to ensure all speakers from the speaker system will produce audio that will be played from the audio device.
7. Play audio from the audio device. Check and see whether the all the speakers will produce audio being played from the audio device.

IF NONE WORK TRY THESE STEPS:

Hello... my sound hardware is not working.. i try to install it from cd not still not working.. what can i do??     please help...                            thanx

Hello there!!

There is a lot solutions for your problem, but I going to simpl. for you. First, you have to make sure your speakers are working right, and is connected at green line. 2) your sound card (internal) is enable, and with the right drivers installed. 3) if is a external (PCI) sound card, you have to redect or change to another PCI, and install the drivers according. that should fix your problem
