this sounds like your pump maybe blocked, or there is something stuck in a pipe and the water cant drain away. This can be remedied quite easily depending on the make and model of the machine as some machines have the filter on the front of the machine behind a panel.

If you have a plastic kick panel on the bottom of your machine remove it and see if there is a round plastic filter behind it. DONT REMOVE IF WATER STILL IN THE DRUM. you will have to manually drain using the grey outlet hose on the back of the machine into a bucket or dish, once this has been done then unscrew filter and clean. THERE WILL STILL BE WATER IN THE FILTER SO PLACE TOWELS ON THE FLOOR TO CATCH IT.

If you dont have a filter behind the plastic kick panel you will have to pull the machine out and remove the rear access panel, Once removed you should see a black rubber hose coming from the drum to the pump. they are usually held in place by a jubilee type clip, MAKE SURE THE DRUM IS EMPTY BEFORE REMOVING,remove from the drum end of the pipe as the filter is normally located in this part of the hose. again there will still be water in the pipe so towes will be required.

hope this helps

Shuts off before completing cycle

Hi Ray Johnson,
I understand that your washer shuts off before completing the cycle and all the lights go off and starts making a humming sound and won't restart. What could be going on is some type of miscommunication between the different control boards inside the appliance. What I would try is resetting the washer, by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker. When you do this, leave it off for at least 3 minutes. Bring the power back to it and restart it. If it is still not completing the cycle I would try contacting the manufacturer for more help. Hope this has helped,

-Best Regards-

Kenmore washing machine catalyst stops during rinse cycle

The hum you here is the probably the motor trying to turn, but it is about burned out. If it moves a little with a full load and more with no load, it is probably bad. If you hear a hum and the drum never moves at all you probably have a broken belt.

The washer shuts down in mid cycle

Hello. LG washing machines come in a widevariety of models, each with unique features, functions and design. Many of thebasic functions of each model are universal when it comes to running the washcycle. If the washing machine stops in the middle of a wash cycle, the firststep that should be taken is to perform troubleshooting steps to determine thecause of the problem. After the source of the trouble has been established, itcan be resolved in most cases by continuing the troubleshooting process. 1 Make sure the lid is completely closed. Certain partsof a wash cycle will not start if the lid is not closed.
2 Check the load to see whether it isunbalanced. If the washer gets off balance, it may stop in the middle of acycle. Redistribute the clothing so that it is evenly balanced around the drum.
3 Make sure the hot and cold water faucetsconnected to the washing machine are turned on fully. If the washing machine isnot getting enough water, it will not be able to complete the cycle.
4 Inspect the drain hose for clogs orobstructions. The washing machine may stop if it is unable to drain waterproperly. Check the drain pipe that the hose feeds into for clogs or debris.
5 Check the house's circuit breaker panel orfuse box. The circuit may have been tripped or a fuse may be blown. Replace anyblown fuses and reset any tripped circuits.

My washer/dryer doesnt spin after going through the wash cycle, during the supposed spin cycle you could hear a humming sound and when it stops there is water in the drum and you can open the door. Is this...

If you can hear a rumbling sound from the drum, then I would say that the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair job, and not one I would recommmend you undertake yourself. as it involves a complete strip down of washer, and the cost is cosiderable.
Probably better to purchase a new washer.
Good luck.

Whirlpool Duet Washer has done GREAT for two suddenly,

this means your drain pump is clogged--- there are 3 screws at the bottom of the lower front panel. Remove these screws and there is a drain pump cleanout located in the middle. Twist this off by hand can clean out the debris--- WATCH OUT LOTS OF WATER will come out so have towels ready.

Washing cycle light won't stop blinking

The filter might be clogged. If you haven't found a fix or answer yet -it's been 2 days :o) There are two screws on the bottom panel, take it off, unscrew the round cap in the middle (make sure you have plenty of towels) and check the filter.
