Question about Toys
My son and I went to the Academy of Science in Phila yesterday and bought a "Crystal Growing Box Kit" (Science & Nature Series, ToySmith) but we've lost the instruction manual for growing the crystals. Do you know of any way we can find (and download) the manual online?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, folks - - check out this site for a potential solution: http://chemistry.about.com/od/crystalrecipes/ht. It contains "recipes" for growing crystals from potassium alum (which is labeled "Diamond" in my Space Age Crystal kit and ammonium phosphate (NH4H2PO4) (which is labeled "Citrine" and "Emerald" -- in my kit -- depending, presumably, on what color food coloring they used. According to the site, most of the commercial kits (including the one from the Smithsonian) use ammonium phosphate. The directions look more straightforward than the ones that came with the kit, so I am going give it a try tonight!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
