I've always been able to get a free PDF downloadable manual from
Janome. They are happy to send you a manual for your specific machine
via email, and they've always been very helpful to me. Here's a link
to them:

Hope this helps!

I have a manual for the sweater machine, maybe I can help e-mail me at [email protected]
SOURCE: Can I loosen the presser foot so knits will not stretch
Pressure on the pressure foot can be adjusted on some machines by turning the knob on the top leftside of the machine directly above the needle assembly. Look for a knob that has fabric types on it and adjust accordingly. Also check your thread tensions.

What you do is load the yarn into the carriage and draw it accross the bed of chosen needles once.
After that hang on the cast on comb on these loops that are formed and put on some weights, and then start knitting. Push the carriage back & forth forming stitches. It will then form stitches and when removed from machine won't run. Read you manual, it explains all this.
Thanks for asking.

When pattern states gauge as: Knit 9sts + 12 rows= 4". Does that mean: 9sts equal an inch and that 12 rows equal an inch? Or does it mean : 9sts equal 4" and 12 rows equal 1"? Thank you for whatever help you can offer. Deborah
What does this mean: Repeat the decrease to create the raglan as foll:1 mth: *On foll 4th row, then on foll rs row* rep from *to* 3 times, then on every foll 4th row 5 times.
