Acer Travel mate 517TE C MOS low battery warning msf at Power up
During power up/boot the msg CMOS bettery low is displayied and if you clear it the system will continue to operate. You need to set date and time all times you power on and off.
Is there any C-MOS battery which need to be replace . Where this si located and if possible to have PN. model I can buy in a store.

It depends upon how much time you run your laptop on battery power, you can keep an eye on the battery charge level when you connect it to mains power. You do not need to keep it on mains power all the time, only when the battery level drops to a low level and needs charging. The laptop will warn you when it is low on battery power.
To remove the bios password you need to clear the CMOS. Open your laptop look at your motherboard. locate the CMOS jamper it is near the battery. To clear remove the jamper and turn your computer on with in 5 to 10 seconds and turn it off. Reinsert the jamper back to there proper place and try to turn go to BIOS if there will be a password box appear.
if it is for any thing just remove your c mos battery and change the jumper settings to clear cmos. and start the pc and wait a minute
and replace the settings put the jumpersettings to its original place and put the battery.
and for the latest pcs just replace the jumper and start the pc and and restore the jumper to its original place
