May need to replace the CMOS battery, located inside the laptop. You have to open the case to reach it. I recommend taking it to a certified shop.

Pls my laptop was hanging after start up.what could be the problem?

Most likely you have too many start up programs. If you have a Microsoft OS go to your start menu and find Run then type in msconfig then press enter. When the configuration screen comes up click on the start up tab.Since it's your laptop you should know what programs should run at start up and which ones shouldn't.Just uncheck the ones you don't want to run at start up. Make sure you click apply then okay. It's best if you restart the laptop after this. The motherboard could also be overheating so check your cooling fan inside the laptop to make sure its working.Get the dust out of it if you have to and also put your laptop on a portable cooling fan if you have one.Never put laptop down on fabric because the laptop will not get any air that way. It will suffocate. One more thing you can try the check disc for errors.Go to computer or my computer and right click the C drive and choose properties.Within the properties menu there is an option to check disc or scan disc.Click that and do exactly what it says.It will check for bad sector and make sure you check the option to fix any errors automatically. It may take a little while.Last thing you can try is de-fragmentation of your hard drive. Most of the time de-fragmentation is in the system tools folder under accessories. After it defragments your hard drive restart laptop and see how it runs.GOOD LUCK!

Second monitor is connected but screen remains

Hi, Ronald.

If you look at the function keys (F1 through F12) on the top row of your keyboard, you should see a CRT/LCD label or symbol, typically on F4 or F8 (may be different for your laptop).

Press the Fn key (typically on the left bottom of your keyboard) with that function key and you would toggle through accessing your laptop display, your external monitor display and both displays (may not be in that order).

Hope this helps.
