have you run windows update? several times? its alot of updates due to hackers trying to find a new way in to computer....and MS have also updated to the .NET Framework 4.0....and it also got alot of holes in code so run Windows Update at least once a week
I'm not entirely sure if this is what you're after, but your question suggests you are looking for a listing of common error codes for Windows. I found one for you at the URL below, and if this is NOT what you want, save it aside later just for reference (suggest others so so, too). Then update your message with more details. Here is the link:
First, access the "Windows Update" service and stop it at "Start-Run-type
'services.msc'.. Next, create a new directory
"C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.old", then move the contents of
"C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" into that folder (cut & paste), and
then trying "Windows update" again. Running Windows Update should create new,
uncorrupted contents for the directory.
(Sometimes it's easier to rename
the "SoftwareDistribution" folder to "SoftwareDistribution.old", then create a
new one with the same name in the same C:\Windows location.)
